For travelers catching an early flight or arriving late at night, a hotel ”right next to the airport” often means a trade-off between exhaustion and efficiency. However, the Xiamen C&D Hotel (Gaoqi Airport) strives to transform this ten-minute walk into a soothing artistic prelude. It's not just a convenient rest stop beside the terminal, but also a themed space under the C&D Group, featuring ”artistic masterpieces” as its core concept.

I wanted to find a hotel where my kids could play in the sand, swim, and have a ball pit. AI recommended this place, and after booking, the staff kindly upgraded us to a sea-view room for free.

My friend and I brought our two kids, and right from the moment we arrived, staff were there to open car doors and help with our luggage. They even carried our bags inside, which almost made me feel a bit embarrassed! And every time we came and went by car, someone was always there to open doors and help with luggage – truly made us feel at home.

Accommodation-wise, it was top-notch. The beach was right downstairs, and the kids loved watching the waves while they ate. Since we had two little ones, we often called for inquiries, extra slippers, or towels, and the service was always excellent and super prompt.

I was impressed that the kids' play area even had a children's restroom – such great attention to detail! The pool also provided towels and had two small heated pools. You could just let the kids play there while you enjoyed the main pool, without worrying about them getting cold or even drowning.

My friend and I are big fans of tea restaurants, so we bought a group deal for the buffet at Yangyang Restaurant. The variety and taste truly surpassed anything we've had in Suzhou. Our kids ate until they were stuffed but still didn't want to leave.

Even though the weather wasn't great during our stay, it didn't stop the kids from going downstairs to dig in the sand. The beach was fun and safe.

Finally, a big thank you to AI for recommending such a fantastic hotel. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance!

A wonderful hotel with excellent service. Excellent, varied breakfast. You can use the pool (slippers and towels are provided, swimming caps are available for a fee). I really enjoyed the view of the runway. Airplanes don't interfere with sleep, but earplugs are provided in the room. Special thanks to receptionist Harry for his friendliness, attentiveness, and very fast check-in.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations for this trip, and we were attended by Manager Evelyn! I often saw her name in reviews, so I was surprised to meet her in person, haha. As soon as I checked in, I was rushing with a lot of luggage, and Evelyn was so gentle and patient throughout. She proactively upgraded us to a room with an amazing view and thoughtfully recommended some niche local eateries and travel tips. She was efficient and friendly, and any issues we had afterward were quickly and properly resolved by her.

It happened to rain in Xiamen during our stay, and Evelyn even went out of her way to text us, reminding us to bring an umbrella. Later, we tried the breakfast buffet, which had a rich variety of options, including Chinese and Western dishes, freshly ground coffee, desserts, and fruits. The ingredients were fresh, and the taste was on point. Getting up early for such a meal was truly delightful.

Overall, I feel the value for money was excellent. The whole experience was comfortable and rejuvenating. I'll definitely come back to Xiamen and stay here again next time!

Traveling with my child, I found the lobby grand and the room clean and hygienic. The disposable slippers and toiletries were great, and they even provided children's lotion, which was a thoughtful touch. The kids' club was also quite clean; although not very large, it was perfect for an hour of fun to let the kids burn off some energy.

What impressed me most was the Le Wei restaurant. The buffet allows one child under 120cm to dine for free, which is very practical and considerate.

 The hotel is right next to the Rainbow Boardwalk and the beach, and the beachfront restaurant even has live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere. 

Overall, it's an excellent family-friendly hotel. My child had a fantastic experience and said they want to come back again.

Overall, it was pretty good. The room was clean, and check-in/check-out was efficient. A really nice perk is that you get a full 24 hours from when you check in, so there's no rush to leave if you arrive in the afternoon. There's also a subway station nearby, which makes getting around very convenient.

The hotel is super pretty and I absolutely loved the bathtub – such a nice way to relax after a long day. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread was good with a wide variety of food options to choose from.

However, the location is quite far from most attractions and shopping districts. During peak hours, it can take more than an hour to get to the shopping areas, which is a bit inconvenient.

One disappointing experience was during breakfast. I came with my 16-year-old sister. I went down early while she was still sleeping, and later went back to bring her along. But the staff did not allow me to enter again unless I paid, even though I wasn’t planning to eat again. I felt this was quite inflexible and disappointing.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful, but the location and service experience could definitely be improved.

The room had a great orientation. The fridge met my daily needs, and the front desk staff was very friendly. They even offered a shuttle service for the concert, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a very good stay. The only issue was a smoky smell when I first entered the room, but it seems to be a common problem in Xiamen as all the hotels I stayed in had it. Considering everything, it's still a great choice. It's close to the airport, only about a ten-minute drive, which is very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay at Portman Hotel, and the picturesque surroundings truly made our experience special. The views are simply stunning, creating a beautiful backdrop for our getaway. 

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of activities available for both children and adults, ensuring that everyone had a great time. 

We especially loved the indoor pool area—it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind while still enjoying the hotel’s ambiance. Overall, Portman Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable stay! Highly recommend it!

The room was spacious, and there was plenty of hot water, plus the air conditioning worked really well. My only minor complaint is that they only offer laundry service and don't have a self-service laundromat. For summer travel, it's much more convenient to be able to wash and dry your own clothes. There was ample parking, which was super handy for picking up and dropping off people at the airport.

The invincible sea view and beautiful environment were amazing. Traveling during the off-peak season meant fewer people, making the experience excellent. There was a minor hiccup though: the first room had some equipment issues due to the strong sea breeze and humidity. However, the front desk resolved it by moving me to a better room.  On the downside, the front desk phone rang for a long time without anyone answering; usually, I had to call room service for things like water or children's slippers, and they answered much faster.  Overall, all the hotel staff seemed rather indifferent, with no smiles, and their responses to requests were just standard. The advertised special activities, like the sea-view train, archery, dry-land curling, and the small boats in the garden, were nowhere to be found. It's a large garden hotel, and I didn't explore much beyond the beach.  My overall impression was just average. However, just before checking out, a manager from the Fuzhou Haiyingwan Baixiang Hotel Guest Relations Department handled a problem with outstanding enthusiasm and excellent service. That was the only time I felt truly served and valued. A special shout-out to her!

I've stayed at the C&D Hotel several times now, and overall it's been great! During check-in, Xiao Le at the front desk kindly upgraded my room for free, which was a lovely gesture! The hotel's service and cleanliness are excellent, always attentive and thorough. Before checking out, I ran into Tracy Wang Cuifeng, a housekeeping staff member on the 6th floor, in the hallway. It's quite a coincidence as I've encountered her several times already, and her service is always wonderful and friendly! I'll definitely stay here again. It's super convenient for getting to Hongqiao T1 and T2 terminals, and there's a Metro Line 10 station nearby.
