If you're a honeymooning couple seeking absolute tranquility and a minimalist getaway, you might find it a bit noisy (I recommend using the Quiet Zone pool or booking a room further away from the slides). * **Beach Proximity:** While the hotel is close to the sea, it's not a beachfront property where you step directly onto the sand. You'll need to cross a street and walk about 5-8 minutes to reach the best beach spots. **Overall Verdict:** The pros outweigh the cons. Numerous halal restaurants and local eateries are within walking distance, offering a wide variety of authentic Thai-Muslim cuisine. Adding to the convenience, a mosque is located nearby, allowing Muslim guests easy access for daily prayers throughout their stay. For exploring Ao Nang and the surrounding areas, local transportation such as tuk-tuks is readily available. Fares are generally affordable, ranging from approximately THB100 to THB200 depending on the destination. Beyond its comfortable accommodation and excellent location, staying at Grand Mercure Krabi Ao Nang Beach also provides an opportunity to support the local tourism industry and community businesses. I specifically came to Koh Phi Phi this time to experience the slow-paced island life of the locals, and I absolutely fell in love with this island! The little cats wandering everywhere on the streets were well-behaved and friendly, letting you pet them without fear. We randomly found a local travel agency and booked a pirate ship tour for 1800 Thai Baht, which was an amazing experience! We boarded at 12 PM and returned at 7 PM. This route only caters to island residents, so you don't have to deal with the large crowds from Phuket, making the experience completely different and much more comfortable. Compared to the bustling and noisy Phuket, Koh Phi Phi's overall atmosphere is much more relaxed. Instead of just recommending this hotel, I'd suggest that anyone visiting Phuket should definitely spend a night on Koh Phi Phi! The quality of hotels on the island doesn't vary much; generally, you get what you pay for. Accommodation is just a temporary stop; the true joy of Koh Phi Phi is never about the hotel itself. If you prefer a quiet, relaxing, and crowd-free vacation, then the northern part of Koh Phi Phi is highly recommended! The entire area is filled with high-end luxury hotels, most of which have private beaches, offering excellent privacy. Our stay this time was around Tonsai Pier, which is the most popular and lively core area of the island. You can choose between these two different vacation vibes according to your preference.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with separate bathrooms and toilets. All amenities are provided. There's ample parking with security staff. There's also a swimming pool, and during my stay, they even had a foam party. The breakfast is a standard hotel buffet with a good variety of choices and delicious food. The staff are friendly and cheerful, offering great service. The hotel is conveniently located not far from Ao Nang Beach, with many shops and restaurants nearby.

I booked the Ocean Suite, which required climbing a rather steep hill, but that wasn't an issue for me; it was good exercise. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and every evening, the turndown service included different candies and a sweet handwritten message on a leaf. The location is very convenient, with a 7-Eleven right outside and plenty of restaurants and night markets nearby.

A nice, cozy boutique-style hotel with an overall positive impression. Breakfast offers a modest selection, but everything is tasty and well-prepared. The on-site restaurant also delivers — the food is genuinely good. A nice bonus is having a Starbucks right on the property. The main downside is the location: the hotel is somewhat far from the town center and nearest shops, which can be inconvenient if you need to run errands or explore locally. A pleasant stay overall. A good choice if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable hotel and don’t mind being a bit away from the hustle and bustle.

Hygiene: Very clean. Facilities: Excellent and fully equipped, the pool has a spiral slide. Environment: Modern style. Service: All staff are warm and polite. This hotel offers fantastic value for money. The pool bar's Happy Hour with two beautiful cocktails for 200 baht is a super deal! The only downside is that it's far from the sea and the pier; everything else is a plus.

Hotel buffet breakfast was good with wide varieties. Their pastries were so good, even had freshly baked croissant hourly. However, the kids club and gym were under maintenance and relocated to ballroom and boutique respectively. Hotel provided free ice cream for kids daily as compensation. The room condition need to be improved whereby the closet door was hard to push and shower head is leaking, two of the lights were not functioning well. Pillows were too soft compared to the sofitel we stayed in bali few years ago. Room cleaning done twice a day were impressive.

This hotel is truly impressive; I've stayed here four times now, and whenever I visit Krabi, this is my go-to choice. It's right by the beach, offers great privacy, and is surrounded by mountains. The staff provide excellent service, and honestly, everything about this place is just fantastic.
