AAnonymous UserFirst off, the location is absolutely fantastic. I walked to the Ruins of St. Paul's the next day, which perfectly tied into my itinerary. The only downside was that the room I was assigned had a smoky smell that neither the AC nor the exhaust fan could really get rid of. It was a bit uncomfortable that the windows couldn't be opened due to a policy. The cleanliness was decent. Overall, the price of 400-500+ felt a bit overpriced, but I guess it's understandable for that area. If it weren't for the smoke smell, the room would have been quite good.
GGuest UserThis is a new local hotel chain in Macau, with three or four branches just on Rua da Palha (Straw Market Street). I stayed at the branch diagonally opposite from the Camoes Garden (not the one right next to it). It's a renovation of an old building, and the design and layout are very compact. Although the room isn't large, it has all the necessary facilities and amenities. The bedding and towels are all disposable and soft, which took some getting used to, but they are very clean and hygienic. It offers good value for money, and it's super convenient for dining, drinking, and shopping nearby. 😊
AAnonymous UserThe location is super convenient! Right outside, you'll find the Ruins of St. Paul's, and walking a bit further brings you towards Grand Lisboa and Wynn. There are tons of pharmacies, supermarkets, and restaurants on the street. Plus, there are bus stops that can take you to both the old and new parts of the city.
QQutaiBaiThe actual room environment is largely consistent with the promotional pictures. The WiFi quality is decent. There are cups and a kettle, but no drinking water is provided. Hand soap is not available. The location is excellent, very close to famous attractions like Grand Lisboa and the Ruins of St. Paul's, all within walking distance.
GGuest UserThe place was very convenient and highly accessible to Senado Square. There’s a nearby 24/7 convenience store and the place is surrounded by plenty of food options. The place was clean, and everything worked perfectly during my stay.
I arrived close to midnight, and while the staff when I checked-in was a local with limited English, I was still able to go through the check-in procedure smoothly. The staffs were friendly and accommodating, especially the morning shift, which was a fellow Filipino so it was easier to ask for some recommendations around the area.
Overall, I highly recommend this place! For directions, simply search Naughty Nuri on Google Maps. The alley on the left side will lead you to the accommodation.
BBcaaaChoosing to stay at Macau Oh Be Cheerful Inn was absolutely the right decision! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the access control system made us feel very secure. The location is excellent, making it convenient and quick to get to all the major attractions. What touched us most was on our last day when we were leaving, the owner was incredibly warm and helpful. Not only did they help us carry our large luggage downstairs, but they also personally called a taxi for us and saw us off into the car. This kind of personal touch is really rare in Macau, and I highly recommend it!
CClaire ArranguezThis was our second time checking in at this hotel. First was in 2018 and it's way cleaner than it is now. However, location's right in Senado Square, close to main attractions in Taipa. The room was also spacious, as well as the beds. Another big con is the floors reeking of cigarette smoke despite the signs of NO SMOKING. They should impose it stricter to avoid affecting non-smoking individuals. The carpets need a good replacement. If this hotel cleans their room better, the standard will so much better as well! A small fridge will also be very helpful. Every hotel room should have them now, I believe. Nonetheless, it's enough for a place to rest.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed here for one night and it was quite an experience. The hostel has its charm, and we appreciated that the bathroom was kept clean with good water pressure — that's always a plus when traveling!
However, as someone who values comfort, a few things made our stay a little challenging. The room was quite cozy — perhaps a bit more compact than we had hoped for. The bathroom door has a small gap that allows water to splash into the room, so you might want to be mindful of that. Slippers are thoughtfully provided in the room, which is great since the flooring isn't quite barefoot-friendly — a small but appreciated touch! There was also a mosquito that kept us company through the night, which wasn't the most restful experience.
One thing worth noting for future guests — towels and water are available at an additional charge, so it's good to come prepared or set aside a little extra budget for those essentials.
Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for budget accommodation in Macau, and the cleanliness of the bathroom is commendable. That said, for those who prioritize space and comfort, it may be worth exploring other options. We're grateful for the experience regardless, as every trip teaches us something new! 😊
AAlex Vohn Co Del RosarioUpon my arrival, I met a tenant that was wearing pajamas and she seems to have an annoyed expression because probably I arrived at around 1 a.m. to check in at that time. And there's one document that she asked me to give her that has some sort of QR code and I'm not sure what it is. Luckily she let it slid by and led to my room. There was no elevator so you have to walk by stairs and unfortunately my floor is at the highest floor and the corridor around it is so dark. The room itself seems clean. However, the walls had no color so it gave me an eerie vibe as well as the bathroom. They gave no water bottles so you have to get the glass cup to get water outside the door because the dispenser is outside. Overall, the room is ok but eerie at the same time. Will I come back? Probably not
