Room was well renovated, owner super friendly and very accommodating, we asked for more water, toilet paper, different type of breakfast etc all happy to oblige. 10 minutes walk to light show, 10m walk to center of ancient city where most of the historical sites were. 10m walk to outside where the best food is..DO NOT eat inside the old city, food outside much better. Owner also arranged for car to take us to Wang Family compound and Shuanglian temple at much better price than I could find anywhere online. and private transfer to/from train station as well. Very happy I booked to stay at this location. Breakfast was EXCELLENT"

"This guesthouse is located right inside Pingyao Ancient City, and you can see the bustling main street just by turning right out the door – super convenient! The courtyard is designed in the traditional Shanxi folk style, and they even have several vats of their own homemade wine and various flavored vinegars for guests to sample. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the parking lot outside the ancient city for both check-in and check-out. The young lady at the front desk even gave us tour recommendations, which was very thoughtful and detailed. The young man working at the guesthouse helped us with our luggage throughout our stay, and we even received a parting gift when we checked out. Highly recommended!"

"Let's start with the positives, as usual: the room is right inside the scenic area; once you park, someone specifically comes to help with your luggage; they thoroughly explained how to explore and where to eat; after check-out, you can store your luggage, and they even used a tricycle to take it to the parking lot in the end; there was absolutely no forced selling or promotion. Now for areas that need attention: the washing machine is in a public restroom, which felt unhygienic, so I didn't dare to use it. Overall, it was quite good. The owner is very nice, provided important information and navigation details in advance, and I'm very grateful!"
