I specifically chose Xunshan B&B for this trip and was absolutely not disappointed. The overall experience was perfect. It's the most comfortable and therapeutic guesthouse I've ever stayed at in this area. The location of the B&B is fantastic, built into the mountainside. The environment is serene and quiet, far from the hustle and bustle of the street. As soon as you step outside, you're greeted with lush green mountains and forests. The air is fresh, and in the mornings and evenings, a gentle breeze rustles through the mountains. The sounds of birds and the fragrant flowers create an incredible atmosphere. The overall decor is a warm, natural wood, therapeutic style – simple yet tasteful. The common areas are thoughtfully arranged; the courtyard is neat and elegant, with lounge chairs and green landscaping. Sitting there, sipping tea, enjoying the breeze, daydreaming, and soaking up the sun is incredibly relaxing, perfect for a slow-paced vacation. The room itself was clean and tidy, with impeccable hygiene. Every corner, under the bed, and the bathroom were spotless. The layout is well-designed, spacious, and airy, with excellent natural light and ventilation. The soft furnishings are especially cozy – warm lighting, soft bedding, and high-quality textiles make for a very comfortable stay. The soundproofing is also good, so it's quiet and peaceful at night, allowing for a very restful sleep. All essential amenities are provided; the toiletries are of good quality, there's ample hot water, and stable water pressure. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. The owner and staff are incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and attentive. The service is thoughtful without being intrusive; they are gentle and friendly. Any requests are promptly addressed, and they even offer helpful recommendations for local attractions and eateries without being pushy, making for a very comfortable interaction. Waking up to the mountain breeze and birdsong in the morning, with layers of mountain views outside the window, and enjoying the sunset glow in the evening – it's a perfect escape from the anxiety and superficiality of city life. Here, there's no need to rush your itinerary; just slow down and embrace the slow-paced mountain life. The environment, hygiene, service, and value for money are all top-notch – it's gentle and therapeutic. Whether you're traveling solo, on a romantic getaway, or just need a short break, it's absolutely perfect. I've already quietly saved it and will definitely choose to stay here again next time. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

This was my first time staying at a B&B, and it exceeded my expectations. I initially considered chain hotels, but couldn't decide based on the reviews. After thoroughly researching Dali hotels three times and making phone calls, I finally settled on staying here for four nights. It definitely lived up to the hype! The food was fresh and delicious, the environment was quiet, and all my personalized requests were met with excellent service. Thank you! My only minor regret is that some of the higher-floor rooms in the front of the B&B had a partial obstruction in a small corner of the balcony, but it didn't significantly impact the overall experience. The front-facing view of Erhai Lake was expansive and made for a great mood every day. Plus, roadside views without obstructions would have been noisy. I've already recommended it to friends!

This hidden gem of a guesthouse in Dali Ancient City truly offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The room design is simply elegant, and in the afternoon, I loved sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, enjoying the lush greenery outside – it was so peaceful and perfectly unwound me from my travels. The entire guesthouse was immaculately clean, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The host was thoughtful and kind, and the location is super convenient, being very close to the ancient city's streets and alleys, making it easy to explore and find places to eat. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation in Dali, highly recommended!

This hotel features a grand Bai-style courtyard that's very impressive, perfect for traveling with seniors. Just a few steps outside is a night market with delicious food, and Erhai Lake is only a five-minute walk away, making the location excellent. Most importantly, it's incredibly clean! The owner provides fresh, disinfected bedding and amenities for each guest, along with disposable toilet seat covers. They are also very enthusiastic and helpful, making for a truly pleasant stay!

Choosing this hotel in Dali Shuanglang was absolutely the right decision! The location is superb, right by Erhai Lake. Opening the window reveals a panoramic view of the entire lake and Cangshan Mountain, and watching the sunset in the evening is incredibly therapeutic. The surroundings are also very quiet, and I even witnessed a breathtaking sunset! Absolutely stunning! The lake view is fantastic, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room facilities are comprehensive, with simple and comfortable decor. The balcony view is amazing, and the bed was very comfortable for a restful sleep. The owner and staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. What I was most satisfied with was the cleanliness; the room was spotless, with no strange odors, and even the corners were thoroughly cleaned. I felt completely at ease staying here. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Shuanglang.

This has been the best B&B experience I've had in Yunnan so far! The room looks exactly like the pictures. The B&B is near Caicun village, and we stayed on the 3rd floor, which offered fantastic views. In front, we had the beautiful S-bend of Erhai Lake, and behind, large wisteria bushes and Cangshan Mountain. There's also an observation deck upstairs for even more unobstructed views. The room is spacious, with high-tech amenities and large floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the scenery just by opening the curtains. I was pleasantly surprised that the water heater provided instant hot water. The courtyard is very clean, and the host even helped us with our luggage. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. (If you're driving, I'd recommend parking outside the village, as the roads inside are very narrow, making it difficult to pass oncoming cars and easy to scrape your vehicle.)

Before check-in, the hotel proactively reached out to remind me about my luggage. The room was clean and tidy, and it was very quiet at night, perfect for a good night's sleep (they even had an electric blanket!). The views were also beautiful, and the owner was very welcoming! Breakfast was rice noodles with meat sauce, an egg, and corn, which was delicious (it would have been even better with some pickles though! 😂). I carelessly left my watch behind, and the owner actively contacted me and helped mail it back. Many thanks! I'll definitely be back next time! ❤️

We stayed in Dali for three nights with our two kids, and Heli Ju was the warmest stop on our trip. The guesthouse is located in a quiet and safe village. In the evenings, the children chased fireflies in the courtyard while the adults sat on rattan chairs, sipping tea and stargazing. Such moments are truly rare and precious. The room, newly renovated in 2025, boasts exceptionally new facilities. The floors and tabletops were spotless. The smart toilet and shower were easy to use, and the bath towels were thick, soft, and had no disinfectant smell. The silk quilt was light and breathable, keeping the kids from sweating, and they fell asleep the moment their heads hit the pillow each night. The biggest surprise was that the housekeeper proactively added us on WeChat to ask about any dietary restrictions or if we needed a crib. Upon arrival, they even helped us carry our luggage upstairs. The service was so thoughtful and heartwarming. It’s about a twenty-minute leisurely walk to the ancient city, offering scenic views of the countryside along the way. It’s convenient for both dining and strolling. For just over 300 yuan a night, including such attentive service, this will definitely be our go-to place whenever we visit Dali again!

I initially thought this would just be a simple one-night stay, but it turned out to be a huge and pleasant surprise! The complimentary airport pick-up service was really great. Master Wang was so enthusiastic and professional, and he provided a very thorough explanation during the short ride. For just two adults and one child, they sent a business van, which was very clean and completely odor-free. The hotel room was spacious. I booked a king-size room with a terrace on the third floor, and the view was absolutely stunning. I spent time just sitting on the terrace, daydreaming both in the morning and evening – I absolutely loved that feeling. There were many green plants and unknown flowers in the small courtyard outside the room and on the terrace. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety and tasted excellent. The hotel's location is also convenient; it's very close to the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, and a taxi ride to the ancient city or the Gantong cableway only costs around 20-30 RMB. If I ever get the chance to visit Dali again, I will definitely choose Yiyun.
