Hotels near Ueno Station, Tokyo

Got all you need for a comfortable stay but not very expensive for Tokyo. It’s near the Ueno street market that you never short of places to eat and to shop. Staffs are polite and helpful. I arrived slightly early but they let me check in anyway. Free coffee machine down stairs opens most of the time during the day though I was too busy to use it. I’ll recommend this hotel for sure.

The service attitude of the staff is very good! Will try to help passengers. The lobby is large and the facilities are adequate. The rooms are small but comfortable and have all the usual needs. The hotel design is very special.

Really 4.5 stars Good --The room was very spacious for 2 people there was a dining table for 6 with four chairs and 2 sofas besides the queen size bed. The size was large enough to hold 3 2 let bottles in the door. Newish furniture. Modern bordering on minimalist decor. It would be a nice studio apartment for a Batchelor wanting to impress a date. One of the fancier toilets I've ever experienced. View of Tokyo sky tree.1/4 mile to 2 subway stations and big supermarket and Ameyko street yet you don't feel your in a tourist trap.there are 4 washers available For only 56 rooms! Bad--or at least not so good...there is no daily housekeeping : to change the trash you notify the ”office” and leave the trash outside the door for pick up and you get a new trash bag. The ”front Desk”is not staffed physically. Transactions --check in, check out, etc are done via QR code. Front desk when the person is present may not speak English well ; you call a more proficient English soaker via a tablet at the front desk or e-mailing of texting them. I found e-mailing communication the most reliable and helpful. Tldr: this is nice place to stay to do laundry and if you are used to air bnb where you don't get housekeeping.

The location is very convenient, very close to the station. There is a convenience store next to it, Wangjiang in front, and a very popular egg thing cafe. There are 24-hour foreign or Japanese waiters at the check in/out counter, and there is no problem with communication. On Saturday nights, there is all-you-can-drink sake, plum wine, etc., so you can go up to the room and taste it slowly. There are free toothpastes, toothbrushes, etc. available at the counter. When you run out of garbage bags, you need to go to the front desk to ask for them and sort them yourself into the trash can downstairs. The only thing to note is that if the hotel needs to change towels and bed sheets, there is an additional charge, and there is no free cleaning service.

A great no frills Hotel. The room was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and eager to help. The hotel is located in a great spot, right next to the Ueno-okachimachi station servicing the Oedo and Ginza lines. situated between the Ueno and Akihabara JR stations which are both easy to walk to. if you're looking for a good simple place to sleep in your Tokyo trip I highly recommend it.

６ I stayed with a month old child. The location is very good near Iriya Station. I put a baby bed in the double room and entered the room with a baby car, but I was able to spend it without being cramped. I was able to prepare a trash can for diaper in advance, and I was able to get additional diaper because I could reduce my luggage. The charger was also installed in the room, and it was good that there were many compatible models with Android and iPhone. The breakfast was delicious, but the venue was a little small, so it was a little painful to enter the store with a child in a hugging string.

I booked a single room and it was very clean and convenient having the subway station nearby. The staff were helpful and polite, breakfast was fair continental fare and the hotel was close to the Tokyo Dome where I had enjoyed shopping at the mall. It was close to Ueno and easy for me to get about Tokyo. My stay at this hotel made up for the earlier eventful days in Japan following non-operating train lines from Typhoon Hagibis which changed some of my travel plans. Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

We wanted a hotel right next to Tokyo Station as we were traveling by Shinkansen, and it doesn't get much closer than this. Like many modern hotels in Tokyo located in office towers, the actual lobby isn't on the ground level. This was a little annoying but it is what it is. Our room was spacious as expected, with views of Nihonbashi and the east side. Plenty of room to open up our big suitcases. The chaise longue next to the windows was a comfortable place to spend time on. The bathroom had a large wet room, equipped with a rainshower next to the bath tub. The glass wall meant that one could be in the bathroom and look out not only at the room, but at the rest of Tokyo if curtains were drawn. My main complaint was the shortage of TV channels with English or non-Japanese broadcast. We stayed in local Japanese hotels where they offered more international programming, so why didn't Shangri-La?! Service was otherwise fine, with check-out available via the Shangri-La app on one's mobile phone.
