Got it! Here’s the refined review: --- My recent stay at Empire Hotel in Wan Chai was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided warm and attentive service, always available to help with questions or local recommendations. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, with quality bedding that made for a restful sleep. I appreciated the thoughtful details, which made the stay even more pleasant, and the views from the higher floors were a nice bonus, giving a lovely glimpse into Wan Chai's vibrant atmosphere. The location of Empire Hotel is ideal—it’s close to public transportation and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Even though I didn’t opt for the breakfast buffet, there are plenty of great cafes and eateries nearby, so finding a meal was easy and enjoyable. Overall, Empire Hotel in Wan Chai is a great choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service in Hong Kong. Highly recommended!

A Cosy and Simple Stay with Great Amenities I was pleasantly surprised by its cosy and simple ambiance. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was easy to find, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to several places, which made exploring the area a breeze. However, there was one minor downside to my stay. My room was located right next to the lift, and the noise from the lift could be a bit disruptive. Additionally, the hotel has only two lifts, and they tend to be a tad slow, which can be inconvenient during peak times. Overall, despite the lift issue, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, convenience, and excellent shuttle service.

My family and I had spent one night at Regent HK and we had a wonderful time there. The hotel was new and has a the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The harbour view was just stunning, and we enjoyed our time celebrating my son’s bday at this hotel. The front desk staff especially Ray Cheung, were fantastic. He was particularly friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. We also went to the outdoor heated pool and had an amazing time. The staff and service were just great. We’ll definitely go again very soon.

Empire Hotel Causeway Bay - Hong Kong This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I knew already a while ago that Hong Kong hotels are small in sizes due to how expensive real estate here is, but given how small the space they were able to make it very comfortable for me. I am traveling solo and yet it just feels like I am in my apartment in Vancouver, BC. The location of this hotel is also amazing as I am one of those leisure travelers who avoid fancy areas as I want to experience Hong Kong just like the locals where nearby markets, family-owned restaurants and shopping areas are. Cleanliness and service is top-notch too! I couldn’t say a thing about how awesome it is. Soundproofing is amazing too. Also, their airconditioning unit is pretty cold and great for the hot Hong Kong weather. I will surely be back and look to book this hotel again. Consider it a compliment as I don’t usually go back to the same hotel unless it was exceptional of an experience!

Good location near the center and MTR. Upon check in, I was informed that smoking is prohibited in the room. When I enter to the room, get smoke smell, I ask room for change but staff said will send HK for spray, no room for change. I have to stay in this room for whole period, very disappointed. Not provide drinking water in the room, you can buy at convenient store near by.

GGuest UserThe room is clean enough, the toilet with shower is small but clean. The hostel is located on the second floor - the ascent is only on the summer stairs. There is an elevator and a door on the second floor, you need to go through the door, take two steps and there will be an entrance to the hostel on the left. There is a WeChat code on the ground floor - you need to add it, you will be sent the code for the front door and the door to the room. Upon entering the hostel, you immediately find yourself in a room with bunk beds and sleeping people. The metro is very close to the entrance. There are many cafes with Turkish, Indian and local cuisine nearby.

GGuest UserExcellent location - a short walk from the subway station (and the market shouldn't discourage you). All the facilities were great, friendly staff, quick service. The only improvement I can think of - a bit more storage space inside the room and some more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels etc. Otherwise - great value for money.

GGuest UserWe stayed for two different weeks before Chinese New Year for work and visiting family. We absolutely loved its combination of fantastic location (quiet yet very close to the tram, subway, buses, ferry etc.) , spaciousness and amenities, and in the future when visiting HK with children, this will be the first hotel we will consider. Absolutely impressed. Special highlights: - Service is very basic - basically a single person at the front desk handling checkin/checkout, the cleaning staff, and a guard that mans the south building lobby until about 9-10pm. But all were courteous, efficient and helpful. No complaints at all. We are especially grateful to the front desk and her manager for letting us have a super late checkout (we had an evening flight and would have had nowhere to go had we checked out at the normal time). And the night guard helpfully scrounged around to find a spare plug adapter to lend us. - Location: Steps from the tram station, and 3-4 minutes walk to Sheung Wan MTR. No nightlife in the area, not that we needed it - It was actually nice that our hotel (south building at least) was in a very quiet dead end. - Amenities: we stayed in the family suite, which consists of two bedrooms and a living room and kitchen+dining table. I love the layout, and storage space abounds, with large deep closets that allowed us to hide away our 32” suitcases easily. We used the laundry machine and the drying rack in the balcony regularly, the fridge is huge, and there are enough utensils and porcelain ware for four people. (you will need to bring your own detergent and dish soap). There's an electric stove but we never used it. A few nights we ordered takeout and managed to seat eight comfortably. For room 3001, water pressure was good and temperature hot (although with two people showering simultaneously the temperature did cool time at times). - Nitpicks & maintenance issues: 1) The sliding door in one bedroom is doesn't seal very tightly (the door isn't aligned well), so city/wind noise is constant (though not unbearable). One on particularly windy night, the wind blowing through the gap was enough to generate a loud honking/flapping sound that was loud enough to wake my kids. I found a way to wedge it closed and the problem went away. 2) The oven/microwave needs to be deep cleaned. The inside seems to be covered with the black charred remains of someone else's old food. We turned it on once and the whole apartment quickly filled with acrid smoke. 3) I wish the bedrooms and bathrooms had built-in night lights for safety. - Tips: - When ordering a taxi via phone, be careful with your pickup location. We always waited at the north building on Connaught Road, but two times the taxi drove to the dead end alley between the North and South buildings. - bring your own dish detergent and laundry detergent. - bring your own night lights - The dryer looks like it has a ”dryer only” mode, but we couldn't figure out how to use it. At most we could d

EEdward Bryan JohnsonI’ve stayed at this hotel many times, rooms might be small but they are comfortable. This time I was a late arrival and it was good to see the staff waiting for me when I arrived, and I was quickly shown to my room for a nights rest before business the following day. Once Saturday came, staff was again helpful in allowing me to leave my luggage in order to alleviate any troubles on a quick trip because I had mentioned I was leaving again that day. They kept my luggage safe and secure until I retrieved it. I’ve uploaded photos before so nothing this time except a good nights rest and a friendly welcome.

JJacky88This is a very small hotel in terms of its footprint, so although it has over 20 floors, there are only two rooms per floor. This is not unusual in HK, where space is at such a premium. But the hotel is great value for its excellent location, just a 10-minute walk to the heart of HK's Central district, and with subway stations within a 5-minute walk. The rooms were surprisingly not as small as I had expected, and I had a suite with a separate living room. The bathroom is spacious, with a full bathtub and shower area behind glass doors. The room also had a kitchenette with microwave, mid-sized fridge, kitchen sink, Nespresso machine, tea bags, kettle, plates, etc. The hotel also has a gym, but no restaurant. But dozens of restaurants are on that same block, so it's not an issue. One caveat: The lobby is reached only by a short flight of stairs, so be ready to carry your luggage up. They have a small hydraulic elevator but that is only for wheelchairs.

Mmiltonhong216I had a pleasant time at the Shama Central. It was a really lovely hotel/ service apartment. The room was quite spacious, with a big dining room and living room too. Everything looked fairly nice. And the hotel was located at a convenient area, with many good restaurants nearby! The whole apartment was kinda dreamy, view was ok. However, the one problem was the front desk staff. When we were checking out, the female frontdesk staff member was really rude. Her attitude was very poor and I felt rather surprised by her attitude. It was such a shame because the rest of the stay was satisfactory, but it ended on such a negative note because of her!
