"We have stayed in this hotel for around 10 days with two rooms. We pick this hotel because of the location, we could reach the liverpool station and go travelling with most of the rail lines. However, the room is too small. Obviously we overlooked the pictures of the room. Basically we step in the room and the bed is on the left side toilet in the front. We go to the receiption and see if we could pay to upgrade our room. The receiption is really helpful. He calls the manager and asked immediately and did as much as he could. Eventually we could upgrade one of our room but not the other one.
If you are on budget, it could be suitable choice. I am definitely not going back to it if I am going to UK next time. It's just too small of a room, and not a good choice if you are looking for a memorable experience going to london for family trip."
"The biggest advantage is the convenient location. It's just a few minutes' walk from bus and train stations, and there's a direct bus that gets you to King's Cross Station in 20 minutes, or it's just two subway stops away. It's super easy to get anywhere. There are also plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. While the hotel's breakfast isn't huge, the quality is excellent. The coffee and pastries are delicious, and the vegetables are fresh. My only regret is that we accidentally booked an accessible king room, which turned out to be a room designed for guests with disabilities. The bathroom facilities are all set up for their needs. Just a heads-up for future guests: if you don't need this type of room, it's best to avoid booking it and leave it for those who do."
"The hotel is centrally located, and you can reach many attractions on foot within 30-60 minutes. The staff are nice and accommodating. The breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate. The coffee machines are excellent.
Now, for what bothered me a bit:
The Wi-Fi is limited to just 30 minutes daily. If you want more, you have to pay. I've stayed in many hotels, but this is the first time I've encountered something like this. Hence, the 3/5 rating for amenities."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Great Budget-Friendly Stay Near VFS Global
I stayed at Point A Hotel London Shoreditch during my visa application trip, and the location was very convenient. If you’re visiting VFS Global for visa-related work, this hotel is only a short distance away, making it a practical choice.
We booked the room for £61 per night without breakfast, which felt like good value for London. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and had a nice atmosphere. The lobby area was comfortable and welcoming, creating a good first impression.
A special mention to Praveen at the front desk. He was very helpful, professional, and had a positive attitude throughout our stay. His friendly service made the experience even better.
Our room was located in the underground level and was medium-sized. The lighting design gave the room a unique vibe, almost like a party-mode atmosphere. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and very clean.
The only downside was the lack of storage and workspace. There were no wardrobes and no table in the room, which may be inconvenient for longer stays or for travelers who need to work.
Overall, this is a clean, affordable hotel with a great location and helpful staff. I would recommend it for short stays, especially if you’re visiting VFS Global or exploring the Shoreditch area."
"This was the first hotel for our family's UK trip. After much deliberation, we chose this Holiday Inn Express which is quite close to the city center. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway, buses, and trains. The hotel maintained the consistent quality of the Holiday Inn brand. We were also lucky enough to snag a group deal that included parking and some meals. A special thank you goes to Christina, a kind and patient lady who speaks Chinese. Due to the high demand for rooms on the weekend and our first-time use of a Ctrip hotel group coupon, the check-in process was a bit convoluted, but the final outcome was very satisfying. Our family left London happily to begin the next leg of our journey. BTW, we encountered many odd Indian guests; whether it was in the cramped elevator or at the popular breakfast buffet, they all exuded a strange confidence, as if they owned the place. I wonder who gave them that idea 🤔🤔🤔"
"Location: Situated in Shoreditch; only a 5-10 minute walk from a subway station and excellent bus connections. Many restaurants nearby. Very quiet on weekends.
Room: Small but very modern; comfortable bed (rather firm mattress), power outlet/USB next to the bed, safe, kettle (unfortunately only black tea), fresh drinking water daily, refrigerator; rather little space for clothes; nice small bathroom with a large shower (which makes the rest of the bathroom small).
Breakfast: Good fresh breakfast.
Friendly staff."
"Best stay ever. The Hotel is new (1.5 yo) modern and contemporary design and furniture. Beautiful view with floor to ceiling glass windows. Everything operates with touch panel controllers. Nice bath tab and generous shower space. If wifi was more secure with password it would have been better. Only downside was that those huge TVs were not smart TV. With the discount from Trip.com and the generous upgrade to a suit by the hotel, we had the best deal and experience. Will deff come back and deff recommend!!"
"The room was comfortable and clean and the location is great for the Shoreditch and Old Street areas. Also the ground floor lobby seemed very convenient for anyone who needs to work there on their laptop. Some details made the stay less comfortable than it could have easily been. There was no electricity plug in the bathroom, and no mini fridge, so no water in the room—had to go downstairs to get it. Additionally, during the late night we received two calls from the reception, probably by mistake, which woke us up."
"Not a bad stay. Breakfast was served too late for me to take and get to the office. Shower got stuck on a boil skin off heat setting and a generator started up at around 12am and continued all night. I went and asked and to their credit my room was changed. Still would have been nice to have time for breakfast
Also stopped the receptionist from scanning in my driving license. Happy to prove who I am, not sure a permanent record then needs to be kept? Overall decent stay just be a little careful"
"This was our last night in the UK, and our group booked one king room and two twin rooms. Finding hotels with twin rooms in Europe can be a challenge, so we appreciated that. This chain hotel has a modern design, is very clean, tidy, and quiet. The rooms come with a Nespresso machine, complimentary bottled water, a kettle, and a tea bar, along with thin disposable slippers. The room size isn't small by European standards, and the bathroom is quite spacious with a walk-in shower. The bed and bedding were also comfortable. The breakfast service was good, a semi-buffet with an à la carte option. While the variety wasn't extensive, it was generally sufficient. A unique touch was the room numbers, which were designed as clock faces with the hands indicating the room number. We checked in on a Friday, and the lobby offered complimentary champagne and fruit drinks. There's a bus stop right across the street from the hotel, making it very convenient to get to places like the British Museum and St. Paul's Cathedral."

Very Good
BBertBenThis hotel is pretty good for the price. The room size was just right, and the staff were very friendly. We arrived around 11 AM, and they allowed us to check in early, which was great. The breakfast had a lot of choices and is worth trying.
The only two downsides are: if you walk from Whitechapel, that area feels a bit messy and smells quite strong. Also, the kitchen is really small, but it seems like most Aparthotels in Europe are like that.
KKL@@Great place to stay very local to tube. All the staff were very polite, friendly, attentive and kind as well as maintaining professionalism. Breakfast had a good selection, however I like the light option but one can clearly enjoy whatever they wish. I slept very well. The rooms were spacious with Aircon and as a bonus I couldn’t hear anyone from other rooms. I would definitely recommend ROCKWELL to others and I would stay here again. Thank you for my stay!
NNA2026Great stay at the Novotel Canary Wharf. super easy access to the subway and a smooth connection to the airport, which made getting around effortless. There's a convenient coffee shop right downstairs, perfect for a quick start to the day. Loved being able to unwind at the pool and sauna after a long day out. Definitely will come back!
GGuest UserGreat location for Piccadilly and the London sights. Breakfast was also fabulous. Staff at the hotel go above and beyond. Special thanks to Radi Dimiatrova and Kariny Cazuza for their careful preparation of our room for our arrival. This was a reunion for me and my daughter and it was a great surprise. Thanks to all the hotel staff who looked after us during our stay and for the bar staff for looking after us with Negronis one night in the piano bar!
GGuest UserI expected the room to be small, but it was incredibly cramped, barely allowing two adults to move around. It almost felt claustrophobic. If you're tall or have a larger build, you should seriously consider this. On the upside, it's a great location for sightseeing; you can easily take a double-decker bus to the British Museum, National Gallery, Wallace Collection, and the V&A Museum. It's also close to Euston and St Pancras stations. Taking the Underground from London Heathrow Terminal 4 to Russell Square station takes about an hour. Because the room was so tiny, I was motivated to explore more places and truly enjoy London. I even took a mat to several nearby parks to sunbathe and relax.
My room didn't have a table, fridge, or phone, but it was a good opportunity to experience minimalist living.
Breakfast was the same menu for all 10 days, much like how a full English breakfast doesn't change. However, just like the consistent menu, the breakfast team — Lourenco, Kiddik, and CkeyRL — were always friendly and diligent, clearly striving to do their best every day. Thank you! Thanks to them, I forgot any inconveniences and started each morning in a good mood.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel service was excellent. The concierge offered complimentary luggage storage, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and amenities provided. The room itself was fully equipped with everything we needed. This year, the UK has experienced unusually hot weather, so having air conditioning indoors was a huge plus. The transportation is very convenient, as it's only about 300 meters from Shepherd's Bush, and the Westfield shopping center nearby makes shopping super easy. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.
BBoYanboThis is a 'decent' hotel. Yes, that's the word. The facilities aren't brand new, but the mattress in the room is still comfortable, the towels are still soft, the toilet paper is still thick, and the hygiene standards are consistently good. The breakfast is a classic English breakfast, meeting the expected standards for a four-star hotel. The location is excellent, situated in a wealthy area of London with very convenient transportation; the subway station is right next door. And the price, especially during the off-season, offers fantastic value for money. Backed by the Millennium Hotels Group and Singaporean capital, it's surprisingly good – the hotel's own restaurant serves authentic wonton noodles and Hainanese chicken rice! Plus, guests get discount coupons! If I had to summarize in one sentence, I'd say this is a well-managed, old-fashioned but not outdated hotel.
AAnonymous UserPros:
1. Great location with convenient transportation, close to all major attractions.
2. Well-developed surrounding commercial facilities, making it easy to purchase daily necessities.
3. Rooms are cleaned daily and include a safe.
Cons:
1. The building is old and the space is cramped.
2. No air conditioning and poor ventilation. Not recommended during hot summer periods.
3. Street-facing rooms are noisy, with frequent sounds of cars and motorcycles revving their engines.
AAnil ShewakramA memorable hotel stay seamlessly blends comfort, exceptional service, and local charm. The experience begins with a warm, efficient welcome that immediately washes away travel fatigue. Inside the room, pristine cleanliness and thoughtful design create a personal sanctuary, featuring a plush bed and modern amenities. Delightful surprises, like a stunning window view or complimentary local treats, elevate the atmosphere. Exceptional hospitality shines through attentive staff who anticipate needs without intruding. Dining experiences, from a vibrant breakfast buffet to artisan coffee, celebrate regional flavours. Ultimately, a perfect stay transforms a simple lodging choice into a relaxing, unforgettable highlight of the journey.
GGuest UserEven though it's far from central London, it's about a 15-minute walk to the tube station, and there's a bus stop right outside with frequent services. The hotel is basic, but for the price, it's excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is an extra £5.99, and it's absolutely worth it compared to prices in the area. The room was small but functional, with a new bathroom. The only minor issue was that when we arrived at Britannia Inn, they directed us to another hotel (Park Hotel) from the same group, about 500m away.
