The COMMANDING ... Astana ... The hotel is generally good, but does not pull up to 4* It all started with the fact that we and my colleague arrived at 6 a.m. and settled at 7 a.m. to the hotel. When I entered the room, my room was completely dirty and not cleaned. I was offered another family room, but there were no windows in it at all. I insisted and I was taken off my room and I got crazy. My colleague did not close the window, from the first time they could not close and already wanted to offer another room, but the window was closed miraculously))))) In general the room was spacious, but we were at the temperature on the street - 20-30C in the room was terribly cold, Batteries didn't work. In the bath there is no clutch but only glass on half, not convenient, a lot of wool falls on the floor, too there is no dryer, it's a crash simple! Breakfast is very scarce, melts little on the plate, brings little food. In general hotel norms, but there is better!!!

I've spent 10 days in Sheraton Astana in October 2023. Me and my mom had 2 separate club rooms and both of us really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located next to all the attractions, parks, and a huge shopping mall. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and spacious. The club room serves excellent food for breakfast and dinner, and offers soups for lunch. The spa is great as well. But the best part of staying at the hotel is interactions with the staff. Everyone is helpful, polite, has a nice, positive vibe, and truly cares about their guests. All the little issues that we had were resolved promptly and readily. We spent a lot of time in the club room and I would like to thank all the staff there for taking a great care of us. I want to especially mention Olzhas the club lounge manager who made every visit to a club room enjoyable.

Pros: -a stunning view of the city through panoramic windows (recommended for photo shoots😉, photo attached) -cleanliness -presence of a swimming pool -location: in the center, everything can be reached on foot, ideal for tourists. Near mall, supermarket. Cons: -in my room there was a door to another room (there is in the photo, behind the chair) which was not warned about. Through it was heard the conversation and laughter of those living in the next room. At a minimum, you need to warn about this, how to reduce the number to such a number as much as possible - 72% melted SPREAD instead of butter at breakfast! This is terrible for a hotel of this level. - the waiters could not tell how the toaster works, stick a brief instruction to the toaster - tell the waiters at breakfast that brushing the crumbs on the floor is not normal, they must be carefully wiped with a rag and not on the floor, and the crumbs should be removed from under the salt and pepper shakers too!

For the amount you pay for the stay the hotel is well beyond the expectations! The rooms are clean, perfect interior, tasty breakfasts. Relatively small rooms, but again for the price they request they are better than most of the hotels and apartments to rent. Nice sitting area downstairs. If you have some time before the flight, but don't want to hang out in the city with the luggage, you can sit here or leave your luggage. Nice and pleasing staff. Generally Hilton Hotels are the best hotels that I have experienced.

I recently redeemed my complimentary night with breakfast at the Ritz Carlton Astana and the experience was delightful. Club Connoisseur members benefit from several perks, one of which is a free night in a deluxe room, which oozed luxury and comfort. That night I also took advantage of my 20% off a cocktail master class that was interesting, fun, and relaxing. I would like to acknowledge several staff members who made a great impression on me for their professionalism, kindness, and competence. At check-in, Aslan the bellman, braved semi-apocalyptic weather (gale force winds and sheets of rain) to open the very heavy hotel doors for me and retrieve my bag from the taxi. Altynay, the receptionist, checked me in and gave me a beautiful room on a high floor so I could enjoy a view of the city. Sayan, who is in charge of Club Connoisseur, was there to welcome me in person and wish me a nice stay. Later, after I came back from the spa, I had to go back to reception as, embarrassingly, I couldn’t remember my room number (I’d lost the key card sleeve Altynay had given me with the room number on it). Ulkbek, at reception, quickly found me in the system and kindly offered to give me a new sleeve so I wouldn’t forget my room number again. I accepted the offer! That night I went to the cocktail master class at Mokki and, after Aizhan the hostess (who recognized me!) showed me to my seat, Alexander, the mixologist, made it fun, lighthearted, and educational. I now know how to make 4 different kinds of summer spritz cocktails! I met a French-Canadian couple at the class, and we spoke French a lot. At some point, Aidana, who was waiting on the master class participants, made a great impression on all of us when she asked us in flawless French, which one of the snacks we would prefer! She also was kind enough to give me snacks on soft bread as I have braces and cannot bite into hard foods. The next morning, I had breakfast at Mokki. The eggs were perfect and Symbat made me the perfect weak americano coffee I prefer to drink in the morning. Alfonso greeted me in Italian – always nice to see him! Even Altynay, who is in charge of marketing at the hotel, came to greet me and ask how my stay was going. At checkout, Mukhtar came to get my bag from my room and carry it down to the lobby. At reception, Nargiza checked me out quickly and efficiently and that was the end of a very special 24 hours. At least, this time, Aslan didn’t have to brave the elements when he helped me with my bag to the cab! Apologies for the very long-winded review, but the level of attention I received from everyone I have named (and perhaps some I forgot) required special mention. I felt very special and pampered by everyone and I will certainly be back. The training the Ritz Carlton Astana employees receive is working and congratulations to all!

ROOMS: spacious with comfortable bed. Big bathroom is equipped with bath and shower both, toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are provided as well. LOCATION: very good location in the city center, it’s so convenient to go everywhere from the hotel. 25min drive from the airport. FOOD: breakfast (if it’s not included in you room rate it costs 9900 KZT). Restaurant and bar work from morning till night, Irish pub works 24h. We ordered food in the room service menu, all dishes was in in front of us in 30 min. FACILITIES: wi-fi, ATM, spa, gym, room service STAFF: very polite and helpful

Stayed here for a week on a work trip. The room was big, clean and everything worked. My big complaint- Why is there nowhere to put your clothes? There was a bar and about 10 hangers, but no drawers. I had thought the whole point of a hotel was to have somewhere to put your clothes. The beds are great, rooms clean, gym in good order and there's even a supermarket nearby, which is handy when it's -20°C with howling wind.

We have already stayed here, once forgotten the keys to their apartment in another city)) though we lived in Astana for 8 years. Then several times we have settled here friends who have come from Russia for visas to the American Embassy. It is through the road - it is undisputed plus location. Now we moved from Astana. And when the question of obtaining a visa has already been raised for us, without thinking, booked it, on the old memory. The quality of the service has fallen just to zero! Cleaning no!!! We arrived late in the evening with two small children, for a long time could not get to the territory first by taxi (the guard didn't even let the suitcases go). Then they could not get through the homephone. And this is a residential complex, not just a hotel. No instructions anywhere, nobody took care of at least the plates hanging in the entrance... Where to call? On what floor to go up to find a recipient? D6)))) Go to the room, put children in the dark in the bedroom. They started to lay the sofa and lay the second set of clothes, and it was dirty, unsleepy and all in the hair. I call the reception and hear: ”The waitress will come in the morning, now no one is there.” After a long discussion, they all brought the underwear. And in the morning I found that the underwear on which the children slept was dirty too. With the protector from the shoe on the roll. The shells are frozen, the water is not going away. On the third day, I called the supervisor and they allowed the apartment to be vacated by me. They pulled out bottles of pelvis inside of the bed, vacuumed the furry carpet and washed the long-unwashed floor. The raccoon also brought in order. I am really impressed with the kindness, hospitality and service from all the staff at this excellent modern hotel - in an excellent location. Flawless stay. Beautiful suite with really nice welcome of Kazakh wine and a souvenir Yurt in my suite. Meticulously clean, comfortable and really good value too. Can't say enough good things about this superb hotel. Hilton driver met me at airport. Really kind warm welcome. Local tourist suggestions given by front desk. Excellent recommendations. One special employee deserves mention as the friendliest and kindest breakfast waiter I have met in years. Deserves ”Employee of the month”. He delivered the most kind, genuine Kazakh hospitality and just made me feel so welcome. I have a photo below but can't remember his name unfortunately. Highest recommendation for this wonderful hotel - a beautiful building made perfect by truly outstanding, committed and very hard working staff. Excellent English spoken by all I met. Well done and genuine thanks for your kindness and hospitality.
