The location is great, nestled in an alley off a lively street, just a 5-minute walk from Karon Beach.

The hotel is large and beautiful, with several pools, a children's play area, a spa, and lots of trees and flowers – perfect for a vacation. There's a shuttle service for getting around. The breakfast is mainly Western, and it's delicious.

The staff are all very kind and friendly, always ready to help. The concierge was especially helpful with carrying luggage, booking taxis, finding drivers, and making calls – truly excellent service.

The only thing I wasn't happy about was a young, white female staff member at the front desk. She was polite, but she gave me a connecting room. We were indeed two families, so if we were to get connecting rooms, they should have been for both of our families together. Instead, she put us on different floors, and only my room was a connecting one. The child next door cried non-stop all night, making it impossible to sleep. I don't understand why she did that. Thankfully, the other front desk staff promptly moved me to a different room later that night.

1. The location is genuinely inconvenient. The hotel's shuttle bus smells terrible, like strong gasoline, and its arrival time is completely hit or miss; sometimes you wait over ten minutes.
2. So many bugs! Who understands the feeling of seeing a huge cockroach in the middle of the night when going to the bathroom...? It was enormous, just like the ones in Guangdong. There were even small centipedes.
3. The wooden planks by the pool are warped and haven't been repaired. There's a sharp nail protruding from the ground right next to the escalator, and I stepped on it, causing my foot to bleed profusely. Definitely wear shoes when getting out of the pool!
4. I requested a room with a good view, but they gave me one completely blocked by trees, with no sea view at all. Do they even read guests' requests?
5. The room card constantly demagnetizes. I always have to go to the front desk for a new one. Sometimes I'd return late at night and couldn't open my door, then couldn't find any staff, and eventually, a patrolling security guard had to help me find someone. It was a very frustrating experience.
6. The path to the pool is really primitive, very hot, and full of bugs. There are also reefs below, and my friend slipped directly on one. You have to be very careful when walking there.
7. The water quality is exceptionally poor and very yellow, but the showerhead isn't the kind you can replace.
8. The plugs are extremely loose. Two of them didn't even work until someone came to fix them.

Overall, there were a lot of issues, but the staff were patient in trying to resolve them. However, perhaps if I hadn't chosen this hotel, I wouldn't have had so many problems...

In summary, it's suitable if you plan to stay put at the hotel and not go anywhere else, as the hotel offers services like room service and a spa. If you're looking for a long-term stay to slowly soak in the atmosphere, it might be suitable. But if you're coming for a tourist trip, I strongly advise against it. The service is truly hit-or-miss and hard to rate.

A wonderful hotel on Karon Beach. The rooms are large and spacious, with multiple balconies and beautiful views. The bed is big and comfortable, and the kitchen is good and roomy. The staff are polite and always ready to help. There's a large swimming pool, and room cleaning is well done. The room has everything you need. The hotel staff are wonderful, kind, and responsive people. The ladies at reception are very kind, and the security guards at the entrance are always friendly; everyone is very welcoming. I highly recommend this place. It's the best hotel on Karon Beach.

The room layout and the view from the window were superb, directly facing the ocean – absolutely breathtaking. The air conditioning worked great and was really cool, unlike some earlier reviews that mentioned noise issues. There was also a large ceiling fan.

The staff were all incredibly friendly, always greeting us warmly. Breakfast was also quite good. I'd read reviews saying it was too 'Western,' but there was actually Chinese congee, side dishes, salted duck eggs, mini fried dough sticks, and noodles, among other things. Plus, there was a dedicated section for Indonesian dishes. The fruit selection was decent too, mainly watermelon, honeydew, papaya, jackfruit, and oranges. Overall, breakfast was very rich and varied. The hotel grounds are expansive with multiple pools to suit different needs. It felt almost like a private beach – uncrowded and clean.

The hotel is a bit older, so manage your expectations. The water quality isn't the best, and the shower pressure was quite low. While the hotel provides bottled filtered water, I felt more comfortable buying my own bottled water. The Italian restaurant on-site was delicious, and it was nice to enjoy some cold beer there. You can also order food and drinks via Grab and have them delivered to the lobby. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

After all, when you're traveling, a good mood makes everything better!

The hotel's spa was fantastic! My child and I had a 90-minute parent-child spa session that left us wanting more. Highly recommended.

Having stayed at many Centara hotels, a local hotel group, I can confidently give this one a five-star rating! This villa is their newest property, featuring a modern, circular design. The ground floor consists of pool villas, though the pools aren't huge. The resort also has a regular hotel in a high-rise building, and another tropical rainforest-style resort (which isn't listed on Ctrip). All three hotels share facilities, including five fantastic swimming pools! I didn't have time to experience the spa. The breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and even had Eggs Benedict! Villa guests enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails. The gym offers great views, and there's a Starbucks right next door. Upon check-in, I downloaded their app, which I used to order water and other items directly. The resort has many other facilities and daily activities that I didn't get a chance to experience. This resort is a destination in itself; you could easily spend your entire trip just relaxing here. The beach is less than a ten-minute walk away, but the waves are quite big, so it's more for surfing than swimming. Unlike domestic hotels, the white cloth slippers provided by this hotel group are not disposable. They are cleaned, disinfected, and reused ♻️. The bellhops at the entrance were very proactive in helping with luggage, arranging a taxi, and even taking a photo with me. I tipped them a little for their excellent service.

The hotel is good overall, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there were a few issues during my stay. The washbasin in the room had some problems, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the room was located far from the reception area, and I had to take a shuttle bus to get there, which made it less convenient when going back and forth. With a few improvements, this could be a great place to stay.

I stayed for 4 nights, and the location was super convenient. It's not far from the Airport Rail Link; you can take it and then walk to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, making for a comfortable stay. However, the cleaning service during my extended stay could have been more thorough, as there were some hairs on the floor that weren't swept up. The area around the hotel is very lively, with Big C, Pratunam Market, and Central World all within walking distance. Extremely convenient!

The hotel allowed us to check in early and even upgraded us to a club room. The staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent, especially for families with children. The seventh floor offers direct access to the mall for shopping and dining, making it a one-stop convenience. The only downside was that the fan was a bit noisy at night.

I absolutely love this grand hotel with its strong sense of history. It evokes a nostalgic atmosphere of the 90s and early 00s, combined with a luxurious and opulent feel that modern hotels simply can't replicate. Despite being an older hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, showing great attention to the bedding quality. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. The gym is fantastic too! I will definitely be staying here again!

This was booked for my friends and he was happy too with the choice, being central and nearby walk to many old Bangkok spots, quick access to China town. Also 10 min cab to Palace . Hotel was helpful, bed was soft, room was clean . Breakfast could be better. There were plenty items but mostly cheaper options. Bread and bakery were very basic. could have been better . can stay again.

An experience that exceeded expectations! The overall service was beyond what I anticipated, though specifically on the first day, the front desk staff were lovely and provided excellent service. The security guard was also very nice. However, the breakfast service was below the standard of even a roadside stall. There's no need to compare it to hotel-level service. I won't be going back.

There's both indoor and outdoor parking, but no staff to assist with parking. 

On the day I checked in, I got a room upgrade, but I suspect it was more about keeping guests in the same building. The exterior areas felt a bit old and not very clean, but the room itself was clean. The bed was soft and comfortable, making for a good night's sleep, but the bathroom had a strange smell from the fixtures. In the pool area, they played music with a DJ during the day, and the rooms weren't soundproof. 

During my stay, there were three tour groups, so it was quite crowded. This meant a lot of guests came for breakfast in the morning, and the dining area felt cramped and insufficient for the number of people. The management was quite poor. Breakfast was served until 10:30 AM, but when I arrived at 9 AM, I had to wait for a table because all of them were full. I finally got a table at 9:30 AM, but by then, some food items were already gone and weren't refilled. I was really disappointed with the dining service. They should manage it better, and for me, the food wasn't very tasty either.

The hotel is a low rise building about 8-storey. It locates close to Central Marina mall about 600-800m in walking distances. There are 7-11 , chinese restaurants and a large massage shop and a Runway market nearby which sells street foods and local fruits and souvenirs. We got a large connecting room for 4 persons with 2 bathrooms. Very spacious and comfy. The building a bit old, but overall is not bad. There are a small swimming pool and fitness with sauna room and steam room in the hotel. The drawback of this hotel is only a parking lot which doesn’t seem enough at the night time. The alley in front of the hotel may be flooded in the rainy season which may drown your car. Be careful!
In a nutshell, overall is good to excellent for the experiences. Love the space of the room and the comfy bed.

Overall, the service and everything else was satisfactory. However, I'd like to provide some feedback:
1. There was a thick layer of dust under the bed, as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
2. The bathroom had a pungent chemical smell.
3. The shower didn't drain properly, leaving standing water on the tile floor.
