"Quite a good value stay during the Christmas holiday season. The room was spacious and clean, with nothing really to complain about. However, the room lacked amenities, requiring us to request them separately from reception, which isn’t ideal for a hotel in this price range. On the plus side, this hotel is very convenient, easily accessible from Farringdon Station on the Elizabeth Line, making it a direct route to Heathrow."
"Really handy if you need to catch an early morning Eurostar as it’s a 5 minute walk from the hotel to Farringdon station. Self check-in via a screen in the lobby. Great for a night’s stay, no frills. Was given an accessible room even though I didn’t request one so not sure what the other rooms and bathrooms are like. Really didn’t enjoy the smell of the toiletries as I wanted to gag every time I used the hand soap when I washed my hands - so opted to use my own shower gel etc. Maybe some will like it but I didn’t. Otherwise like I said, good for a night if you have an early morning train to catch."
"My partner and I recently enjoyed a romantic stay at Montcalm Brewery, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end.
The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Every detail contributed to making our stay feel special and luxurious.
A very special thank you to Leeza at the front desk, who was truly exceptional throughout our stay. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, she was warm, professional, attentive, and always greeted us with a beautiful smile. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. Her outstanding customer service made us feel genuinely welcome and valued throughout our stay.
The room service breakfast was another highlight. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and served with great care and attention to detail. It was the perfect way to start the day and added an extra touch of luxury to our romantic break.
Leeza is a true asset to the hotel, and her dedication to providing exceptional guest service deserves special recognition. Thanks to her and the entire team, our stay was unforgettable.
We cannot wait to return and would highly recommend Montcalm Brewery to anyone looking for a luxurious stay, outstanding hospitality, and a truly memorable experience.
Thank you for making our stay so special. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A perfect romantic getaway with exceptional service and unforgettable hospitality."
"Stayed for two nights with my mom, and for the price, we were quite satisfied: 1. The bathroom shower was exceptionally clean, and the water heated up instantly. 2. When the hairdryer broke, I called the front desk and they immediately brought a new one up. 3. Since we stayed consecutive nights, the room was cleaned daily, and the water in the mini-fridge was replenished. The not-so-great points were that the air conditioning was too cold and difficult to adjust, and if you want to store luggage in advance, you need to message them the day before with your arrival time, otherwise the front desk might not be staffed."
"Pros: Great location, right next to UCL, a five-minute walk from Euston Station, and about a ten-minute walk from King's Cross Station. You can get there by bus, just get off at Russell Square. The British Museum is also within walking distance. There are many restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel, which is very convenient.
Cons: The facilities are old, and small rooms are common in London, so I won't dwell on that. The sink is incredibly small, only about 30 cm wide, which feels very cramped. My biggest complaint is that the window is as thin as paper; I've never seen such thin windows in the UK. It offers absolutely no sound insulation, and the street noise outside is enormous. The walls are also thin; you can clearly hear even the slightest movement from next door. No wonder the hotel doesn't provide any other disposable items, only two pairs of earplugs."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Great Budget-Friendly Stay Near VFS Global
I stayed at Point A Hotel London Shoreditch during my visa application trip, and the location was very convenient. If you’re visiting VFS Global for visa-related work, this hotel is only a short distance away, making it a practical choice.
We booked the room for £61 per night without breakfast, which felt like good value for London. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and had a nice atmosphere. The lobby area was comfortable and welcoming, creating a good first impression.
A special mention to Praveen at the front desk. He was very helpful, professional, and had a positive attitude throughout our stay. His friendly service made the experience even better.
Our room was located in the underground level and was medium-sized. The lighting design gave the room a unique vibe, almost like a party-mode atmosphere. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and very clean.
The only downside was the lack of storage and workspace. There were no wardrobes and no table in the room, which may be inconvenient for longer stays or for travelers who need to work.
Overall, this is a clean, affordable hotel with a great location and helpful staff. I would recommend it for short stays, especially if you’re visiting VFS Global or exploring the Shoreditch area."
"This was our last night in the UK, and our group booked one king room and two twin rooms. Finding hotels with twin rooms in Europe can be a challenge, so we appreciated that. This chain hotel has a modern design, is very clean, tidy, and quiet. The rooms come with a Nespresso machine, complimentary bottled water, a kettle, and a tea bar, along with thin disposable slippers. The room size isn't small by European standards, and the bathroom is quite spacious with a walk-in shower. The bed and bedding were also comfortable. The breakfast service was good, a semi-buffet with an à la carte option. While the variety wasn't extensive, it was generally sufficient. A unique touch was the room numbers, which were designed as clock faces with the hands indicating the room number. We checked in on a Friday, and the lobby offered complimentary champagne and fruit drinks. There's a bus stop right across the street from the hotel, making it very convenient to get to places like the British Museum and St. Paul's Cathedral."
"From check-in to check-out, every need was taken care of. The staff is top-notch and so friendly. They even supplied us some washing up liquid so my partner could try and take care of a stain on their clothing from dinner. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. The common areas are lovely spaces to relax and have a drink."
"This was the first hotel for our family's UK trip. After much deliberation, we chose this Holiday Inn Express which is quite close to the city center. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway, buses, and trains. The hotel maintained the consistent quality of the Holiday Inn brand. We were also lucky enough to snag a group deal that included parking and some meals. A special thank you goes to Christina, a kind and patient lady who speaks Chinese. Due to the high demand for rooms on the weekend and our first-time use of a Ctrip hotel group coupon, the check-in process was a bit convoluted, but the final outcome was very satisfying. Our family left London happily to begin the next leg of our journey. BTW, we encountered many odd Indian guests; whether it was in the cramped elevator or at the popular breakfast buffet, they all exuded a strange confidence, as if they owned the place. I wonder who gave them that idea 🤔🤔🤔"

Great
BBertBenThis hotel is pretty good for the price. The room size was just right, and the staff were very friendly. We arrived around 11 AM, and they allowed us to check in early, which was great. The breakfast had a lot of choices and is worth trying.
The only two downsides are: if you walk from Whitechapel, that area feels a bit messy and smells quite strong. Also, the kitchen is really small, but it seems like most Aparthotels in Europe are like that.
EEhime OmokhodionI recently stayed at Novotel London Canary Wharf and it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in London. From the moment I checked in, the atmosphere felt modern, welcoming, and effortlessly comfortable.
The highlight of the stay was definitely the view from my room. Waking up to the Canary Wharf skyline and watching the city lights come alive at night was incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire room feel bright and spacious, and the panoramic cityscape gave the stay a real luxury feel.
Another standout experience was visiting Bōkan, the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking , you get a stunning panoramic perspective of the whole of London, from Canary Wharf to landmarks across the city skyline. Whether during sunset or later in the evening, the atmosphere is unforgettable. The combination of great food, drinks, and those sweeping views made it one of the best parts of the trip.
The hotel amenities were also excellent. The pool was clean and relaxing, perfect after a long day exploring or working in the city. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout, and the sauna added an extra touch of relaxation that really elevated the overall experience.
Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf delivers the perfect mix of comfort, modern luxury, amazing facilities, and spectacular London views. I’d happily stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Canary Wharf.
KKL@@Great place to stay very local to tube. All the staff were very polite, friendly, attentive and kind as well as maintaining professionalism. Breakfast had a good selection, however I like the light option but one can clearly enjoy whatever they wish. I slept very well. The rooms were spacious with Aircon and as a bonus I couldn’t hear anyone from other rooms. I would definitely recommend ROCKWELL to others and I would stay here again. Thank you for my stay!
WWangwangjinshuiFantastic location! Plus, the room was a spacious suite. Even though the lighting wasn't the best, it did have two small windows. The welcome fruit was a nice touch, and there was even a bottle of red wine – definitely felt like a special occasion. And the breakfast was delicious too. Worth it!
GGuest UserI expected the room to be small, but it was incredibly cramped, barely allowing two adults to move around. It almost felt claustrophobic. If you're tall or have a larger build, you should seriously consider this. On the upside, it's a great location for sightseeing; you can easily take a double-decker bus to the British Museum, National Gallery, Wallace Collection, and the V&A Museum. It's also close to Euston and St Pancras stations. Taking the Underground from London Heathrow Terminal 4 to Russell Square station takes about an hour. Because the room was so tiny, I was motivated to explore more places and truly enjoy London. I even took a mat to several nearby parks to sunbathe and relax.
My room didn't have a table, fridge, or phone, but it was a good opportunity to experience minimalist living.
Breakfast was the same menu for all 10 days, much like how a full English breakfast doesn't change. However, just like the consistent menu, the breakfast team — Lourenco, Kiddik, and CkeyRL — were always friendly and diligent, clearly striving to do their best every day. Thank you! Thanks to them, I forgot any inconveniences and started each morning in a good mood.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel service was excellent. The concierge offered complimentary luggage storage, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and amenities provided. The room itself was fully equipped with everything we needed. This year, the UK has experienced unusually hot weather, so having air conditioning indoors was a huge plus. The transportation is very convenient, as it's only about 300 meters from Shepherd's Bush, and the Westfield shopping center nearby makes shopping super easy. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.
BBoYanboThis is a 'decent' hotel. Yes, that's the word. The facilities aren't brand new, but the mattress in the room is still comfortable, the towels are still soft, the toilet paper is still thick, and the hygiene standards are consistently good. The breakfast is a classic English breakfast, meeting the expected standards for a four-star hotel. The location is excellent, situated in a wealthy area of London with very convenient transportation; the subway station is right next door. And the price, especially during the off-season, offers fantastic value for money. Backed by the Millennium Hotels Group and Singaporean capital, it's surprisingly good – the hotel's own restaurant serves authentic wonton noodles and Hainanese chicken rice! Plus, guests get discount coupons! If I had to summarize in one sentence, I'd say this is a well-managed, old-fashioned but not outdated hotel.
AAnonymous UserPros:
1. Great location with convenient transportation, close to all major attractions.
2. Well-developed surrounding commercial facilities, making it easy to purchase daily necessities.
3. Rooms are cleaned daily and include a safe.
Cons:
1. The building is old and the space is cramped.
2. No air conditioning and poor ventilation. Not recommended during hot summer periods.
3. Street-facing rooms are noisy, with frequent sounds of cars and motorcycles revving their engines.
AAnil ShewakramA memorable hotel stay seamlessly blends comfort, exceptional service, and local charm. The experience begins with a warm, efficient welcome that immediately washes away travel fatigue. Inside the room, pristine cleanliness and thoughtful design create a personal sanctuary, featuring a plush bed and modern amenities. Delightful surprises, like a stunning window view or complimentary local treats, elevate the atmosphere. Exceptional hospitality shines through attentive staff who anticipate needs without intruding. Dining experiences, from a vibrant breakfast buffet to artisan coffee, celebrate regional flavours. Ultimately, a perfect stay transforms a simple lodging choice into a relaxing, unforgettable highlight of the journey.
GGuest UserEven though it's far from central London, it's about a 15-minute walk to the tube station, and there's a bus stop right outside with frequent services. The hotel is basic, but for the price, it's excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is an extra £5.99, and it's absolutely worth it compared to prices in the area. The room was small but functional, with a new bathroom. The only minor issue was that when we arrived at Britannia Inn, they directed us to another hotel (Park Hotel) from the same group, about 500m away.
