Hotels near MRT-Phetchaburi in Bangkok

The room is good, quite standard. I stayed on the 7th floor, and the window view was very open, which was pleasant. There's a fridge and a safe. However, I didn't find any disposable toothbrushes, which was odd. It's quite close to the station, which was perfect for catching my flight. But I'd recommend bringing earplugs; being so close to the station, it can get a bit noisy.

A quiet place with a large, bright, and clean 7-Eleven located just downstairs in the same building—you only need your room card to access the entrance. Water cooler, coffee maker, iron, coin washing machine, a few sofa seats & clean toilets at the first floor too. It is conveniently located near Metro Phetchaburi and the Makkasan Airport Rail Link (35 THB to BKK Airport). The road to the station is smooth (especially compared to others I experienced in Bangkok), and I was able to wheel my 25 kg luggage without any hassle 👍. There is no need to cross the road, and the nearest exit has an elevator, which is very convenient. The hotel is right next to the main road, but there is little to no traffic congestion. The nearest shopping mall is Central Rama 9, which has fewer tourists but plenty of good food, drinks, and local fashion stores. I think it’s a hidden gem for shopping, compared to the more famous malls.

1. I chose this hotel's family room for our trip with the kids after comparing a few options. I requested a quiet, high-floor room in advance, and they put us on the 24th floor, in a room furthest from the street, so we didn't hear any noise during our nine-day stay. 2. The cleanliness definitely needs improvement. The corners and hidden spots weren't cleaned properly, especially the shelf where the slippers are kept; dust and hair were very noticeable. The cleaning staff are mostly from Myanmar, and if you have any requests, you can use a translation app to show them, like asking for extra water. 3. The free coffee in the hotel lobby is a big plus. Also, the designated smoking area outside the hotel with seating is a thoughtful touch. 4. The hotel's location is actually quite good. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street, and if you walk a bit further and turn left for two minutes, you'll reach the MRT station and Central Plaza Rama 9. For dining, there are options on the basement level and the sixth floor. You can also exchange money and top up your phone on the fifth floor. I've read many negative reviews from Chinese guests, and it's true that a very high percentage of guests are Chinese, though there are also local, Japanese, and Korean guests. There were almost no Westerners. The lobby often has many fellow Chinese guests sitting around, applying makeup and eating, but overall, it's still relatively quiet.

The room was spotless and exactly like the pictures. It was also very spacious. We stayed on the 8th floor. The only minor issues were that the room lighting was a bit dim and there was a slight odor from the sink in the bathroom. When we checked in, a staff member who spoke Chinese noticed we were hot and even offered us some small drinks, which was a nice touch! 👍

Overall reasonable efforts fr the (breakfast teams & house keeping’s. Reception staffs (except door personals) were so so, could improve w/refresh Thai hospitality, warm & attentive than spent time on screens

I really love this hotel; it's super clean and affordable. This is my second time staying here, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Bangkok. It's truly great, with a fantastic location and plenty of food options right downstairs. I absolutely adore this place!

The hotel is located in the city, and the rooms are spacious and bright. They offer airport transfer services, which are paid but cheaper than a taxi. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it convenient to get to several famous large shopping malls.

Stayed 4 nights at Mercure Bangkok Makkasan, and overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there are a few things worth noting before booking. The room itself was well equipped with all the essentials. Clean, functional, and comfortable enough for a few nights. No major issues with the room setup, and it serves its purpose well for resting after a long day out. However, the main issue is really the location. The hotel feels quite secluded, with almost nothing within a 1 km radius. Even walking to the nearest Petchaburi train station involves going along a main road, which can feel a bit unsafe, especially at night. Another thing that stood out was the bathroom design. The toilet and shower are connected to the room with a semi full-length door, so the air conditioning from the room seeps in. This makes it quite cold when showering, and at the same time, any odours from the toilet can drift into the room — not the most ideal setup. The check-in lobby is located on level 8, while there’s a concierge at level 1, which can be slightly inconvenient initially. That said, I have to highlight that the concierge team was extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to assist and making the stay more pleasant. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to Petchaburi station every hour, and for the return trip, you can message them to arrange pickup, which helps a bit. On the positive side, the swimming pool is nice, and the gym is well equipped for a proper workout. One small thing to note — there were quite a number of mosquitoes at level 1. Would I stay here again? Probably not, mainly due to the location and accessibility. If convenience is important for your Bangkok trip, this is something to consider carefully before booking.

Check in and out was good, the room was nice and big bathroom but no smart tv so no YouTube 😩 beds where a bit too hard and no PowerPoints next to beds👎🏻 The buffet breakfast was below par, poor choice and poor quality way to many people it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think🤕 it was very uncomfortable, pool was ok but saunas where locked😞 Over all the hotel was very old and dated furniture from the 40s and not clean, don't think I'll stay here again.

Best hotel on budget, i was but afraid of cleanliness but hotel turned out to be very neat impressive. The value it offers on the price point it comes is tremendous. Staff is friendly, they upgraded my room for free. Location is bit far from the nightlife, but that too is manageable not too extreme.
