"This hotel offers excellent value for money in this area. We happened to be there right before Songkran, and since our previous hotel was fully booked, we switched to this one. The rooms here are incredibly spacious, and each one comes with a refrigerator and a microwave. The air conditioning is also super powerful. There's a car park downstairs. We didn't try the hotel breakfast, but you can buy snacks and other items in the lobby on the second floor. Right outside the hotel, there's also a fantastic coffee shop with a great selection of food. It's a really comfortable spot where you can even enjoy a cigar."

The air conditioning works perfectly, the water pressure is strong, the heater is reliable, and the fridge does its job well. For the price, these basics are definitely on point. However, the room layout could use some improvement. The bathroom lacks a sink and mirror, which have been oddly placed outside and separated from each other. This makes simple routines like shaving or skincare unnecessarily inconvenient. A more thoughtful design would go a long way. Soundproofing is another area for improvement. I could clearly hear noise from the neighboring room, which affects the sense of privacy. Service was a bit inconsistent. The staff during check-in were welcoming and friendly. But at check-out, a different staff member seemed less accommodating. Due to her strong accent, I had difficulty understanding her, and when I asked her to repeat, she appeared visibly annoyed. In a city as international as Bangkok, front desk staff should be trained to communicate more clearly and show patience with international guests."

"The accommodation was exactly as pictured, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. They offer 24-hour check-in, with check-out at 12:00 PM. We chose a room with a 5-foot bunk bed. Please note that the room has a strict two-person occupancy limit, and an additional 200 baht will be charged for any extra guests. It's a small room, and ours was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The bathroom is shared, but shampoo is provided. The service was good."

"A magnificent hotel! We haven't traveled extensively, but we've been to many places in recent years, and I can confidently say - this is the best hotel we've ever stayed at! A huge room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, equipped with everything you need for your stay: bathrobes, shampoos, conditioners, body lotion, hand soap; toothbrushes and toothpaste, etc. A large living room, and the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and utensils for cooking and dining. Housekeeping and towel changes are daily. Upon check-in, there were complimentary drinks and water in the fridge, and on the table, there were dried bananas and cookies baked in the restaurant. The bedding and towels were clean, fresh, and dry. The in-room climate control was quiet and allowed for temperature adjustment. The breakfasts were excellent: very diverse, with coffee machines, and there was always enough seating. Breakfast is from 8 to 10 AM. The pool is very beautiful but not deep - a maximum depth of 1.2m, but it's sufficient for a pleasant time. The hotel staff are very welcoming. The deposit is 2000 baht, which is returned upon check-out. The lobby smells wonderfully of fresh flowers. It's about a 30-minute taxi ride to the city center. Nearby, there's a large shopping mall, Rama 3, with brands, an evening market, and Tops. There are also several 7/11s in the vicinity. The area is clean, and we felt safe. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would like to return in the future."

The room was good, and the standard bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep, especially if you're staying for business. "This is a very comfortable hotel. Everything is so well thought out here; you just want to relax after a day of sightseeing instead of rushing off somewhere else. The only thing is you have to look for cafes nearby, and the metro is a bit far, so you need to take a short ride to get to it. They have an ironing board with an iron, a mini-kitchen, and clever lighting. I loved everything. The only downside is that breakfast is too expensive. The hotel's 10% discount is pointless because the cafe adds 10% to the already decent price and then another 7% in fees."

"The accommodation is not far from Central Rama 3. I had errands to run at the Panjathani Building and walked to the accommodation, about 1.8 km. It's a bit of a walk down a side street. The accommodation is clean and has a microwave, sink, refrigerator, table, TV, and water heater (no hairdryer). #The room is not soundproof. The door is loose and I had to put a chair against it, otherwise it makes a loud noise when I moved it. I could clearly hear the doors and doors of the next room opening and closing."

Staff performance 1.Staff at reception are generally okay and do their job adequately. Cons Deposit policy — outdated and inconvenient. The hotel requires a 2,000 baht cash deposit at check-in, which is a significant drawback in today's travel landscape. Not all tourists carry that much cash, as most travelers now use digital payments or credit cards. Moreover, money exchange rates in the area come with unfavorable charges, making this requirement unnecessarily costly. This policy should be revised. Overly strict check-in time The 2:00 PM check-in restriction is far too rigid — even 5-star hotels are not this strict. This creates an uncomfortable situation for tourists who arrive even slightly earlier than 2:00 PM and are left waiting. Service and hospitality shortcomings Welcome drinks are not proactively offered by reception — you have to ask for them yourself. Reception staff lack initiative and could improve their hospitality communication style. They come across as too robotic and transactional rather than warm and welcoming. I even witnessed reception staff shouting at another guest during check-in over the 2,000 baht deposit issue — a very uncomfortable scene to witness and an unacceptable way to speak to paying customers. Room condition and maintenance issues Walls are too thin — noise from neighboring rooms is clearly audible. Shower water pressure is very weak. The shower handle is broken. Electrical sockets are hard to find and placed at very inconvenient spots. The room door is extremely hard to open, appearing old and broken. Building infrastructure Only one small elevator is available, resulting in long waits to get to or from your room. The building as a whole looks dated and in need of renovation. Overall The i Residence Silom Hotel offers genuinely spacious, clean rooms in an excellent location at what is presumably a reasonable price point. However, the outdated cash deposit policy, overly rigid check-in time, poor hospitality training among front desk staff, and numerous maintenance issues (thin walls, broken shower, weak water pressure, inconvenient outlets, faulty door, single slow elevator) significantly detract from the experience. The building itself feels old and tired. With better staff training and a serious round of renovations, this hotel could live up to the potential its location and room size suggest — but as it stands, the cons may outweigh the pros for many travelers."
