"Stayed in a capsule for three nights. Overall, it was a great experience and very good value for money. Pros: • the capsules are very comfortable - I was able to sleep just as well as in a hotel • very cheap for the comfort, cleanliness and location • they are also very fun and different so enjoyed the new experience • the corridors are mostly silent apart from the occasional noise of people moving around • no noise from outside the building • corridors and capsules both have good air conditioning • capsules have hooks, dimible lights, a mirror and a plug socket and USB-A and C charging ports • bathrooms are cleaned regularly • the check in and out is an easy self service on an iPad but there are also staff who can assist with this and anything else if needed (for example I got a free toothbrush as I had forgotten to bring one) - I was very impressed with the customer service overall • the lobby area has vending machines for some toiletries, snacks and drinks • there is 24/7 security at the door • the location is incredibly central and just 30 seconds from the underground - but so much of Central London is within walking distance • especially good value for solo travellers Cons: • towels are not included so you need to bring your own or pay • luggage storage is the same • the capsules have a lock on the inside but you need a padlock for the outside which is not provided (you can buy one from the vending machines in the lobby) • there is only one vertical bar per capsule to hang up a towel - you might struggle to dry wet clothes if it was rainy • there is a big room of toilet and shower cubicles - the shower cubicles have a small bench and area for changing, which gets wet when you use the shower - making changing a bit uncomfortable (perhaps installing floor-length shower curtains between the sections could help) • the local area is very touristy so you miss out on the slightly quieter London neighbourhood feel of somewhere people actually live • the area can be a bit rowdy at night • not great facilities for shaving However no hostel or hotel is going to be perfect at this price, especially in such a central part of London. I was quite skeptical of staying in this kind of accomodation, but overall I loved my stay and it was brilliant value. I will definitely be staying here again many times in the future when I am in London and I would highly recommend it. Tips for staying here: • bring your own padlock and towel • bring flip flops, sliders or sandals for the toilet and showers • women who would prefer not to share facilities with men can book women's only capsules • pack light - there isn't a lot of space for bags and large bags aren't allowed in the capsule"

"Paid for a 5m^2 room for <80£ a day (Mon-Thurs) thought I had a good deal but was placed in the tiniest room in the basement - it looked like someone’s storeroom. Asked for an upgrade (was willing to pay) but there were no rooms available that night, however they shifted me into a new room at the top level that was better than the original room the next day. This hotel deserves a 2-3 star based on the 5m^2 room, and it’s a 10 min walk from paddington / 8 mins walk to lancaster gate. Felt cheated about the listing - no pic of the room because it was tiny xx"

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. Right downstairs, there's a coffee shop, convenience store, M&S, bus stop, and MTR station! Although the room isn't huge, it's big enough to open two large suitcases and is very comfortable. Highly recommend!"

"Great little hotel for cheap. Love that there's someone at the front desk 24/7 so you feel safe. The area has a safe vibe all around although it does sit at the end of the row of hotels in the darker end of the street. But my wife and I felt pretty safe coming home around 1am every nigh. It sits along a row of hotels that all look the same from the outside so I'm sure they're similar inside. The rooms are small but it seems like a lot of London rooms are small so don't expect a lot of extra area. Double beds are decent. Fairly firm but the pillows are not the softest or most comfortable. We stayed for a week so I missed having a softer pillow. Shower is 30 inches x 30 inches. Tight fit!! Water is hot fast and no issues with pressure. No air conditioner or fan. Normally that's not an issue in London but we happened to hit a heat wave of around 90-94 degrees F. At night, the room was warmer than it was outside and took a bit to air out. Wish they had fans or wish I brought one for the week we stayed. Didn't realize it was going to be that hot in London. The breakfast there is an add-on and it's pretty good for about $10US. Nice staff. Quiet and pretty clean. Overall we were happy. It's real close to the Paddington Station which is convenient. Now that we've walked around London, I think any hotel in that area would be safe or even some of the surrounding areas. I wasn't sure before we got there but now that we spent a week around there, it's safe. Every city has it's crazies so it's not absent of that, but overall, it's safe. It was about what you can expect for the cheaper price with just enough amenities to keep us happy."

"The hotel was a perfect location for exploring London on foot. Very central and closed to west end/Soho area. The self check in service saved alot of time. The room was clean and big enough for 1 night. Lack of tea and coffee facilities was disappointing. The noise from outside a busy londont street was to be expected but the closed window did help. However you could hear quite clearly noise from the corridors and other rooms quite clearly. Additional pillows in the room would have been helpful as the 1s on the bed were quite flat. Would stay again especially for a short trip with little time spent in the room."

"The hotel was in a great location, near main line stations and tubes, and a walk from Lords. Staff were all very friendly and super helpful, helping me upstairs with my bag. I was able to leave my luggage early, which was a massive bonus! Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, yet tThe noise from outside was minimal. I had a single room, but it was spacious clean, and comfortable, with a fridge, air con, and tea/coffee making facilities. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the metro station, about a 3-minute walk; it's also not far from the British Museum, around an 8-10 minute walk. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The room size is quite spacious for London standards. The soundproofing could be better, and the hotel rooms don't have air conditioning, which was the only thing that was really difficult to accept – it was very uncomfortable without AC in 30-degree weather. Check-in isn't until after 2 PM, which feels a bit inflexible, but they do offer free luggage storage."

"I’m a regular business traveller and this hotel is perfect. Good location. Good service. It’s close enough to the main Oxford Street by foot, and 5 min walking distance from Bond Street tube station, 20 min by car to Marylebone train station. 8 min by drive to Mayfair. Can’t ask for more really!"

"The hotel was in a great location, a quick walk from Kensington High Street tube, and a pleasant 20mins walk to Notting Hill. The hotel itself in entering was very pleasant, looked inviting (with a Starbucks to one side but still within the same atmosphere and decoration) The staff were all friendly, concierge being the most willing and happy to help. The room was a bit disappointing. Appeared very grey and dark on entrance, but everything was clean had what you needed. TV was opposite a small settee, but far more comfortable to sit in the bed so the tv was across to the right, feel the room was too small to have a settee/sitting area as it was immediately next to the door. Didn’t feel inviting. But after the initial disappointment it didn’t need to be much more for our needs. We then used the pool area. Again a bit like the rooms this is a tired looking area, the pool sides stained and peeling bits here and there. The hot tub and steam room were both closed, but swam a few lengths and then used the sauna which was within the changing room area. Sauna was good hot enough too! We were going to have room service as a bit of a novelty, but thought the bar area looked nicer to sit for an hour or so so had a meal there. This was the biggest disappointment and extremely over priced. I was possibly unlucky and ordered the wrong thing, but would not eat here again. I ordered ‘Crushed avocado on a toasted bruschetta with slow roasted tomatoes’ and a side of chunky chips. This can as a dollop of cheap guacamole on a slice of french basic baguette with half a cherry tom on top, 3 of these! I personally can’t eat guacamole on its own so had to scrape most of it off to then eat the bread (and only did because I was by then hungry) Besides that I would stay again but would rather not have paid the price we did."

EEhime OmokhodionI recently stayed at Novotel London Canary Wharf and it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in London. From the moment I checked in, the atmosphere felt modern, welcoming, and effortlessly comfortable. The highlight of the stay was definitely the view from my room. Waking up to the Canary Wharf skyline and watching the city lights come alive at night was incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire room feel bright and spacious, and the panoramic cityscape gave the stay a real luxury feel. Another standout experience was visiting Bōkan, the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking , you get a stunning panoramic perspective of the whole of London, from Canary Wharf to landmarks across the city skyline. Whether during sunset or later in the evening, the atmosphere is unforgettable. The combination of great food, drinks, and those sweeping views made it one of the best parts of the trip. The hotel amenities were also excellent. The pool was clean and relaxing, perfect after a long day exploring or working in the city. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout, and the sauna added an extra touch of relaxation that really elevated the overall experience. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf delivers the perfect mix of comfort, modern luxury, amazing facilities, and spectacular London views. I’d happily stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Canary Wharf.

WWeibulingenbadunThe room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came every day. The transportation was also very convenient. The double room was quite spacious, and the facilities were relatively new. My only complaint is that the breakfast was very basic and repetitive; I ate the same things for three days straight and got tired of it.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a strategic location, perfect for classic shopping trips and sightseeing. The rooms are larger than average for London, and the services are good. The building itself is quite old but well-maintained and partially modernized. The tea room and Indian restaurant are excellent. The main drawback, typical for hotels of this kind, is the bathroom – while efficient and clean, it's definitely dated and offers limited amenities.

GGuest UserI booked the room for 1 night as I was attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I was very happy with the cost of £73 for the night for a Superior Single room. The staff were friendly & welcoming. My room was on the 4th floor. The lift was very noisy which was a bit of a worry but it worked ok. The room was small with nowhere for me to put my small suitcase. When I first opened my room door I was met with a very noisy portable air con unit. Thankfully the heatwave earlier in the week had eased so I turned off the air con unit. The furnishings & bedding in the room were a little bit tired for a 4* hotel but ok. There were complimentary toiletries, bathroom robe & tea, coffee & a small packet of biscuits. I’d asked for a quiet room if possible & that’s what I got. I had a shower the next morning but it took a while to heat up. Also a non-adjustable monsoon shower head which could be an issue for some. Also part of the shower drain edge was broken. I didn’t pay for a breakfast upon booking as wanted to keep my options open. Both the Trip website & the signs in the hotel stated the cost of the buffet breakfast was £14 but the staff said it was £15. I decided on the breakfast in the end. There was plenty of choice even if the bacon & sausages were a bit dried out but that’s to be expected with a hot buffet breakfast. Caffeine free coffee was also available. I was happy with my short stay at The Rockwell & would definitely book again.

MM.AshalThe reception team were friendly at check in, and I was given a beautiful tin of truffles and some drinks vouchers (maybe as a diamond member?). This was really a special touch and appreciated. However the room itself wasn’t great. I’ve stayed in quite a few London hotels so know you don’t get lots of space and for 1 night you don’t need much, but this room was so small it was a struggle to move about. The air conditioning was on but it was weak. Thankfully the window opened slightly but it remained warm in the room. Bathroom was dated, quite small and felt cheap. Minor point but the pillows and duvet didn’t feel like the usual Hilton ones, they seemed thicker… Overall, it was clean, relatively quiet and had great service which is all that’s really needed, but it felt more of a budget hotel with Hilton price tag. I do think they are doing everything they can to make stays as good as possible, since they can’t really do anything about the room sizes.

LLiyaniuThe room was incredibly small! I couldn't believe how tiny 10 square meters felt. I was genuinely shocked when I opened the door. It was even difficult to open my luggage. The table was pathetically small, and there wasn't even a chair. Storage space was extremely limited. The bathroom was even tinier, comparable to an airplane lavatory. Overall, my stay was very uncomfortable. The only positives were the comfortable bed and the breakfast, which at least offered some variety. After a difficult two nights, I decisively moved to the Hilton across the street, and the experience was significantly better. What baffles me is that this place was even more expensive than the Hilton. On the whole, dining and getting around were very convenient, with various UCL colleges in the vicinity. There's a Nero Cafe right next door, so if you don't want the hotel breakfast, you can grab something there. Heading south down the street, you'll find quite a few Chinese restaurants, which is very handy.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington. The hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious, especially by London standards, making it a comfortable place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The location is excellent, with High Street Kensington Tube Station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore London and reach major attractions. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Overall, a great hotel with comfortable accommodations, a convenient location, and good value for money. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.

AAnonymous UserIt was great stay in Berjaya Eden! I personally live the vibdes. It was walking distance to Bayswater station and Queensway St. It also easy for you to find the halal foods. Its everywhere and easy to access! This is my second time to stayed here. The staff was really good and polite. Eventhough the room that i choose was a little bit “not so spacious” but its ok as long as it walking distance from one to another. Will repeat?? Of course YES!!

GGuest UserFrom the outside, the hotel looks good, but as soon as you're in the hallway, you realize it's a super old hotel. The rooms were scrawled on, extremely small, and had deteriorated over the years – but they were clean, as they were tidied daily. Additionally, there were hardly any power outlets, but the Wi-Fi reception was very good. The staff was very friendly, and the location was super central, making it very easy to get from A to B (the train station is 5 minutes away).
