"When we are in Bangkok, we always choose Ayathorn. If you’re planning to explore the old part of Bangkok, this hotel is a great base. Many of the main attractions are within a 20–30 minute walk, and if you prefer, a short tuk-tuk ride gets you there even faster. There are also several very good local restaurants just a few minutes away on foot, which makes evenings easy and enjoyable. The rooftop is a nice plus perfect for cooling off after a long day of sightseeing, with a relaxing atmosphere, or for spending some time in the pool. One thing to be aware of is the major renovation works currently happening in front of the building, which can cause traffic congestion and some noise during the day. However, you can minimize this by booking a river-facing room, which is quieter. Also, if you arrive early, the hotel offers the option to check in before the standard time for an additional fee, which can be very convenient after a long flight."

"Very clean, and the service was excellent. Initially, I was given a room with a view of a rooftop, which felt quite desolate and a bit creepy. I called the front desk and they kindly switched me to a pool view room. I think there was a deposit, maybe 500 THB/night? I can't quite recall. The pool lights seemed to have an issue; even after I reported it, the staff who came to fix it couldn't get them to work properly. However, being a chain resort hotel, the quality is definitely reliable. It's also very close to the city center but not crowded at all, and there's a 7-Eleven just 200m away. I had a really pleasant stay and felt very safe here."

"Our room was on the first floor, and it was worth the price. However, we felt the room was quite humid due to its location(1st floor by canal). The swimming pool was just as beautiful as we had seen in the pictures beforehand. They also gave us a 40 Baht discount voucher for the café, which was a nice touch. The best thing about this hotel is its location—a small morning market opens nearby, where we enjoyed buying coconut bread and mango sticky rice. It truly gave us authentic local vibes!"

"The hotel has its upsides: spacious rooms, and a family room with two 1.5-meter beds, which is a rare find in Bangkok. I booked a family room with breakfast and free cancellation for 600 RMB during Chinese New Year, and it even had a balcony – all definite pluses! It's a good choice for families with kids, especially if the price is right. However, the downsides are also pretty clear: the facilities are old, there's a persistent humming noise that I couldn't pinpoint, and a lack of power outlets. The area around the hotel entrance is heavily congested, so getting a taxi usually means a 15-minute wait. There aren't many restaurants or massage places nearby, though you can walk to the Ratchadamnoen Boxing Stadium in about 10 minutes. Despite my request, I wasn't given an end room. The hotel staff seemed more enthusiastic towards Western guests, and the breakfast was mediocre – definitely not worth paying extra for if it's not included."

"The staff was genuinely very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room itself was very clean upon arrival. The shared bathroom was also clean at first, and overall the accommodation seemed well maintained. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable for us. The mini fridge in the room did not cool at all. In addition, the room next to ours was occupied by a couple with a baby, and they often left their door open. Because of this, the baby crying could be heard extremely loudly, especially at night, which made it very difficult to fall asleep. Interestingly, we could hear that other guests were watching TV loudly in the hallway, but inside our room we could barely hear any noise except for the baby crying, which was unfortunately very disruptive. Another unpleasant issue was that diapers were disposed of in the shared bathroom. The smell became very strong and lingered for several hours, and there were also many flies in that bathroom because of it. Thankfully, it was possible to go one floor higher and use the shower and toilet there instead. The location depends a lot on personal preference. We are not party people, and the area had a very strong party atmosphere, which we did not expect. Because of that, it is difficult for me to judge the location fairly. I think for people visiting Bangkok mainly for nightlife and partying, the location could actually be very good. However, it is still relatively far from the city center, although it is possible to walk there. Overall, the biggest positive point was definitely the staff — they were truly kind and made a real effort to help guests feel welcome."

"This accommodation boasts a fantastic location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city via various transportation options, including the BTS Skytrain, MRT subway, buses, and ferries, as well as access to water activities. The rooms offer privacy, the air conditioning works exceptionally well, and the rooms are simple yet clean."

"The price is very affordable. There's a guesthouse washing machine downstairs, so laundry is free, and the dryer costs 20 baht per use. The lady at the front desk is super nice and helpful with everything; she even exchanges coins if you don't have any and provided laundry detergent for just 20 baht when I didn't have any. The guesthouse offers free popsicles, about 6 different kinds, and you can eat as many as you like. There's also a fridge, a coffee machine, and free cereal. Plus, it's close to Khao San Road night market. The only downside is that there's no window, but for this price, it's an excellent guesthouse. Getting a private room for less than 100 baht, instead of having to squeeze into a crowded hostel, is amazing. If you're on a tight budget and planning a long stay, I'd definitely recommend this place."
