Hotels near Shimizuzaka Park, Tokyo

If you go straight under the elevated from Oji Station, you will arrive. The surrounding area is quiet in the residential area. There are many convenience stores and taverns on the big street. The rooms are simple like Toyoko Inn. The pajamas are a system brought from the first floor. It is a unit bus, but it is a little spread. Amenities are only shampoo, rinse and body soap, so I think women should bring essentials.

Mimaru doesn't disappoint, as always. Great value for the money. Brand spanking new hotel with helpful staff. Convenient location - about 6 min walk to the Ikebukoro station (make a note of the exit you need on the way back from the station). We had a 2-bedroom western-style apartment, which was incredibly spacious. Large living room featuring a long table with plentiful seating and a well-stocked decent Japanese-size kitchen (you can rent a toaster oven and a rice maker from the front desk, but food places are abundant in the area). Pajamas, toothbrushes, and other sundries provided downstairs (grab-and-go), and each bathroom has a nice set of shampoo, shower gel, and hair conditioner. A washing machine (with built-in dryer) worked well. Our layout featured two bathrooms, and two good sized bedrooms. One of the bedrooms had 4 beds, but no windows (I imagine it would get quite stuffy for 4 people, but it was fine for one). Minor gripe: the minimalist aesthetics tend to get in the way of the practical things: there is a closet in each bedroom, and a tiny ledge in the hall; otherwise, not a shelf, a dresser or a nightstand in sight, no horizontal storage at all, as in: literally no place other than the floor to put your phone or your packing cube. The rooms, the bathrooms, and the washing machine all converge in a narrow hallway, with their respective doors swinging out onto each other or onto an unlucky passerby. We resolved that problem by screaming ”door” loudly every time we opened one. Would gladly stay again!

Generally quite satisfying with this hotel. Pretty clean and comfortable. The room size is quite big, big enough to open the luggage so no need to worry about the space. For the location, pretty convenient to walk from Metro station - 東池袋, can directly walk via the shopping mall to the hotel. But the distance is not that close as expected, it took about 10-15mins. For the service, I would say the reception is not that considerate, as I asked a easy question but they refused to answer and said I can go find the answer by myself….., maybe becoz there were a lot people waiting for check in. So the service from the reception is really not so satisfying….

My friend recommended me this hotel. Room is small, but location is convenient. Airport limousine stop right in front of this hotel The hotel has 2 microwave ovens in a common area to heat up your food. Right below the hotel, there is a family mart, and some restaurants. There is a bus service to shinjuku if you do not want to walk. The lotion and face cream are at the lobby if you need them 2 bottles of mineral water will be given daily. If you join as hotel member, you get to extend your check out time.

The hotel is very well located and you have the subway station in less than 5 min by foot. Many convenient stores are near it. The receptionists were very kind. If we are going back to Tokyo, we would definitely come back. They all explained us very well how to get to Mt Fuji easily! We recommend.

1) I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights with breakfast, and there were only 3 fixed selection items everyday. However, I felt a bit bored on the third day. If it can be changed to buffet or semi-buffet is much better, there will be more choices. 2) The toothbrush provided by the hotel has a very hard brush head, and the enamel on the teeth will be brushed off even with the slightest force. The gums will also bleed. And the tooth paste is difficult to squeeze out. There is also a smell in the bathroom, which requires tape water for more than 10 minutes before it subsides. 3) The electric kettle only ha a small capacity and cannot be reheated continuously. If you want to have cup noodles as a late night snack, you cannot handle 1 large, or even 2 small portions at the same time. Overall it's good. Clean with convenient transportation. It takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the subway entrance, and 15-20 minutes to Tsukiji Market and Ginza.

I booked twin room non smoking. On picture the room was looking nice. In reality we didn't get a room which was on picture. Our room was very small, very congested, instead of 2nd bed there was a sofa bed. it's good it was only for 1 night. I was very tied after long travel, that's why I didn't check straight away, but I had a feeling that it wasn't a room I booked. On next day when we were checking out, I spoke to front clerk Akihiro Sasaki about this matter. He told me, that they can’t see a picture of room I booked, they just followed instructions from Trip.com. I will let Trip.com know what happened. I feel we were cheated and I think we deserve a compensation, because the room we got is definitely cheaper than the room I booked.I am providing photos of original room and room we got. I am very disappointed.

Hotel is a ten-minute walk away from the train station. Convenient to get from hotel to Haneda airport when it comes to the number of train transfers to make. Hotel room is small (may not be that convenient for travellers with big luggages) as with those of most hotels located in Japan, but functional enough for casual travellers.

Excellent & Convenient location to the exhibition hall....clean room, good breakfast buffet, nice selection of food...friendly staff...easy access to other restaurants & convenient store too...

Hotel is very close to narita airport and conveniently had airport shuttle for free. Rooms were well appointed with good amenities. They also offer shuttle to downtown but did not avail of it sinc we only stayed overnight. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Wish I could have tried the spa as well.
