The Railay Princess Resort & Spa was very very good. First time we’ve stayed there and we were very happy with the resort, facilities and location … great location!
The restaurant offers very good meals and in particular breakfast was terrific!
It’s true there’s quite a few monkeys hanging around but leave them alone and they’ll leave you alone.
Overall a lovely resort and will be our “go to” accommodation when we’re back in Railay Bay.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The property is very nice overall, and the breakfast area is especially beautiful, set right in front of the sea, which makes for a really relaxing start to the day.
One of the biggest advantages is the location and layout. The hotel stretches across the width of the island, with access on both sides, so you can easily reach the port on one side and Railay Beach on the other. This makes getting around very convenient.
The rooms were in good condition and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Overall, a very pleasant experience in a well-located hotel.

We had a very disappointing and disturbing experience during our stay at this hotel.
Unfortunately, money was stolen from our room. What makes the situation even more concerning is that not all of the cash was taken — exactly half of it was missing. This made it less immediately noticeable, but it was very clear to us that the amount had been deliberately reduced.
We always keep track of our belongings, and there is no doubt that the money was taken while we were out. This raises serious concerns about security and trust, especially in a place where guests expect their personal items to be safe.
We only discovered the issue later the same day, after we had already checked out of the hotel, which made the situation even more upsetting.
Because of this experience, we cannot recommend this hotel and strongly advise future guests to be extremely cautious with their valuables.

The hotel's location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the pier and 10 minutes to the island's center. Plus, it's only a 15-20 minute walk to the only decent beach near Princess Cave. The rooms have everything you need, even a beach bag and slippers. I especially loved having direct pool access from the room – perfect for unwinding after a day of adventures. Breakfasts were varied, delicious, and filling.
Special thanks to the hotel staff. They were incredibly polite and friendly, genuinely helpful with any questions, even the most unusual ones. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the hotel manager helped us arrange the purchase and delivery of flowers. As a lovely bonus for our celebration, the hotel also provided gifts and fruits. In the evenings, there are various entertainment options, like watching movies during dinner or a disco.

I recently stayed at Diamond Cave Resort and found it to be the perfect home base for my six-day trip. The location truly cannot be beat. It sits just up from the groves with a beautiful view of the pier, and everything you could need is right nearby—massage shops, restaurants, and small local spots that give the area its charm. Walking Street, along with even more dining and nightlife options, is only a 5–7 minute walk away, which made exploring incredibly easy and convenient.
When I arrived, I was greeted with genuine friendliness and hospitality. The resort may not have the polished, shiny appearance that some tropical resorts strive for, but that is actually part of its charm. Diamond Cave feels more like a cozy beach cottage that has been in a family for generations—like a comfortable pair of jeans that just feels like home the moment you put them on.
The property and rooms were clean, and the staff were consistently helpful and warm throughout my stay. The breakfast each morning was well-rounded, with a variety of choices and more than enough to fuel a full day of exploring or relaxing. For me, it was the ideal place to work on coursework, lounge, rest, and recharge. If you are looking for luxury and perfection, this may not be the place. But if you value comfort, authenticity, and a welcoming atmosphere in an unbeatable location, Diamond Cave Resort is a wonderful choice.

Hotel was located at a fantastic location. Ao nang beach was right in front of the hotel. Walkable distance to local shopping. Breakfast was good as they changed Thai dishes daily. Room service, concierge available. Swimming pool is good but allowed only if you wear proper swimming suit. They will provide towels as well. Room was clean and spacious. Stayed in building A which had the pool and Mountain View. Overall, enjoyed my stay.

Ambiance: Absolutely fantastic! Super natural and refreshing.
Service: Surprisingly good! The welcome ”fruit juice” upon check-in was delicious. We visited during Chinese New Year, and everyone was dressed in festive red and had their hair in cute top buns – everyone was so friendly.
Cleanliness: Very clean, and the staff meticulously cleaned our room every day.
You can book cars, boats, and rent motorbikes directly at the hotel.
Overall, I really loved it! The rock climbing next door is also highly recommended; too bad we ran out of time. I'll definitely come back next time!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. If it weren't for our tight travel schedule, we would have happily extended our stay for another four nights! Everything was just as we like it – a secluded location, surrounded by jungle, right by the sea. Yet, it's only a 15-20 minute walk along a lit path by the sea to the lively Railay area with its cafes and shops. It's about 30-45 minutes to Princess Diana's Cave and the filming location for Jurassic Park. The hotel itself is top-notch – friendly staff, rooms with panoramic windows on all sides (you could watch spectacled langurs, listen to birds, or paint!), and a balcony with chairs and a table right in the jungle. Breakfasts were varied, and the coffee was delicious. During high tide, you can swim at one of the two beaches; during our stay, the water was a bit murky, so snorkeling was pointless. During low tide, the pool is a real highlight – well-located, with a Jacuzzi, and the water is a pleasant temperature. The only downside was the constant hum of boats passing by, but we got used to it and stopped noticing after a day.

The Hotel is very good to relax, we had a garden view with lots of green and it was perfect to shutting off all thoughts from Home/Work/Family and so on. It has a pleasant walking distance to the west and east beach ! Also they have an every 2 hour Tuk Tuk to pick you up from the beaches or to the beaches ! By Request, they also drive you there out of schedule which was really nice, but as I said the two Beaches are not that far to walk by. The Pool is clean and has a small cute snack & cocktailbar with a big veranda as well. the Prices are very affordable for a Hotel and the Breakfast are good as well, changing 2-3 Menus everyday but the standad Ham, Toast, Pancake, scrambled Eggs are fixed ofc ! really delicious

Nothing to say about breakfast because it was only wrap, but cappuccino is best in Krabi without any doubt.
Great thanks to manager and hotel team, especially professionals who work hard in garden and keep rooms tidy and clean.
If you are hungry there is real Italian pizzeria nearby, where we enjoy delicious dinner.
We would like to stay there much more longer because it’s quiet and beautiful hotel in the cradle of nature.

The ladies at the front desk were all very smiling and friendly. Housekeeping every day, clean towels, two bottles of water, coffee. Room Upgrade & Design: I was upgraded to a newly renovated room, and it was stunning! The design is very beautiful, featuring a minimalist style with warm wooden tones. I was very impressed with the room itself. The only minor drawback for guests seeking absolute quiet is the soundproofing of the front door, which is a little thin. You can still hear some noise from people walking past in the hallway.
Exceptional Staff: The service from the staff was outstanding. Hardy, Kik, and Cream were all wonderful, providing excellent and very friendly service. A special mention also goes to Lusho at the breakfast restaurant. He took excellent care of me, always ready to recommend dishes and answer any questions we had about the food—just ask him anything you need!
Location: The location is superb! It's just a short 7-minute walk to Ao Nang beach and very close to the night market, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven.
Facilities:
• Spa: The hotel spa is fantastic! I had the aroma massage for 850 THB, and it was excellent—both muscle and mind felt completely relaxed. The calming natural sounds, especially with the rain falling during my session, made it incredibly soothing.
• Fitness & Pool: The fitness center is well-equipped, and the swimming pool is lovely.
Overall: This is the perfect place for a relaxing, no-stress vacation. The food is good, the location is excellent (close to the beach and nearby restaurants), and the facilities are comprehensive. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning!

GGuest UserWe had an overall enjoyable stay at Sofitel in Krabi, with a few areas that could be improved—especially given the expectations of a five-star property.
The location is a clear highlight. The beach is calm and relatively private, without the usual crowd of boats, which made for a very relaxing environment.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and consistently good quality. The overall decor of the lobby and restaurants was also beautifully done, creating a pleasant and refined atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner.
However, service was somewhat inconsistent. Room service could be slow at times, and on a few occasions, items like trash left outside the room were not cleared promptly. There were also communication lapses—for example, we had requested assistance to coordinate with an elephant sanctuary, but the message was not properly followed through between staff members.
There were also minor maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning balcony light, which we chose not to escalate but would have expected to be addressed proactively at this level.
For a family room, we expected more thoughtful child-friendly design. Simple things like a stool for children to reach the sink were missing, which made basic routines unnecessarily difficult and less safe.
The pool facilities were decent but not outstanding, and cleanliness could be improved. In particular, the kiddie pool had visible debris and bugs, which made it less comfortable for young children. We also found the pool safety setup confusing and somewhat concerning. There were clear warnings stating that there are no lifeguards and that parents are responsible for supervision. However, there was consistently a staff member seated by the pool under a shaded area, appearing like a lifeguard but not actively monitoring the pool. This created a misleading impression and could give families a false sense of security. During our stay, we also witnessed a situation where a child became stuck under part of the pool obstacle structure, and assistance had to be actively requested from nearby staff. While the situation was resolved, it reinforced our concern that supervision and safety measures could be more proactive. Given the number of safety warnings posted around the pool, we were surprised that no trained lifeguard was present, especially as the current setup may give families a false sense of supervision.
One of the main drawbacks was the pricing structure. Many services and items felt excessively priced, including:
• Food at the on-site restaurants (significantly higher than comparable options outside the resort)
• Transport and excursion arrangements (e.g., speedboat pricing well above market rates)
• Activity rentals, such as the Sub Blue underwater scooter (350 THB++ for 30 minutes), which felt disproportionately expensive
• Additional charges for small requests, including delivery fees for food within the property
These added costs created a sense of being “nickel-and-dimed,” which detracted from the overall experience.
Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful location, excellent breakfast, and well-designed spaces, we felt that service consistency, family-friendliness, safety clarity, and value for money could be improved to better align with five-star expectations.

However, the front area near the beach, including the pool and restaurant, wasn't very well-maintained and was partly dirty. The pool water was cloudy and not very inviting, so I didn't use it. I had a 'new room,' which sounds good, but it wasn't. It was inadequately furnished – nowhere to put luggage, no chair... and it was very unclean. It seemed nothing had been cleaned after construction, as protective plastic was still stuck everywhere. The wardrobe was just a rail where the kettle and other items were also placed. At least they quickly brought me more hangers when I asked. The only really good thing was the new sun loungers on the balcony. My room wasn't cleaned, and when I inquired, I was told I had to leave my room key at reception for that. Seriously? I've never encountered that before, and it would have been helpful if they had informed me. Breakfast was very basic, and I didn't like the coffee. However, the à la carte dinner was delicious.

LLorena CThis is an older place with catfishing photos. The place is not bad but the photos set your expectations too high. I was given the wrong room & no compensation. I did not want a hot tub. I paid for a swim up pool. That is not what I got.
It's okay. The area is great. Good weather makes a 5k walk to the beach worth it. The hotel is a solid okay. Hot water works, but the bath is old and needs a Lysol wipe down and upgrade. For me, it was slightly sus cleaning, but clean linen a decent and location. They comped water, tea , coffee, have a mini fridge and are nice people.
Its an okay place with grimy carpets, joining room doors, an old couch, a kids' wet play area. Some uneven floors but a decent menu that seems to come from some other place. At lunch, there's no kitchen to be seen or cooking smells but the food is good. It is not served in the restaurant, but near the bar and kids' water park.
You can make it work. I did not like having the wrong room.

MMarlé South AfricaReally beautiful place right on the beach. Several pools. Nice restaurant and amazing breakfast buffet, even for me as a vegan. Our room was nothing special so we spent most of the time at the pool. Many chairs to lie on in the shade. A bit over priced for the Chinese new year holiday. But we really enjoyed it and the staff was very friendly and moved us to a new room after we complained about noisy neighbors. Check-out time is 11am which is a bit early to be honest. But you can still relax by the pool and facilities after checkout.

It used to be a temple so it has a fantastic Thai architecture.
The room and bathroom were really big and spacious. The staff was friendly and the housekeeping is daily and dedicated. The aircon worked well, the bed was comfortable and there's plenty of furniture in the rooms. The swimming pool is big and in good condition.
The hotel is right in front of the beach but not in the central Ao Nang area.
The wifi was very weak during the whole stay.

The hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. She even upgraded our room without extra cost .
She even organised someone to pick us up and carry our bags from the pear and from hotel to pear at check-in and check out . She even keeps our bags in a place near to pear for us to pick up in the afternoon for our ferry trip.
Staff is very friendly too.
We really enjoyed our two days stay and definitely recommend this hotel stay

The room was totally worth the price, clean, tidy, and pretty spacious for just me traveling alone. The vibe of the place is peaceful and perfect for relaxing, yet it’s only a few steps away from the beach!
There’s also a swimming pool which is great for families and kids friendly. Plus, there's a local night market not too far away, which was great to check out. The breakfast here was spot on, and the staff were all so nice and helpful.
Overall, I had an amazing time and would definitely come back again! 😍
