I recommend a nearby place called ”Milk Ice Room”; the food is delicious and affordable (50 RMB per person is enough for a meal, and you get free milk tea with a main course). I stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago. Although it has been renovated, the service is noticeably worse than before. Here are a few points:
1. At 3 PM check-in, no rooms were available. We only got our room key at 4:30 PM.
2. Upon entering the room, we found a used band-aid from the previous guests still on the floor (which was quite unpleasant) and not cleaned up.
3. Loud music from a club downstairs went on until past midnight, making it impossible for us and our child to get any rest. Even though it was a weekend and there might have been events, it was simply unacceptable.
4. There's also something that made us very angry, and although it's not directly related to the hotel, I want to share it so future guests can be aware. The taxis outside the hotel – we might have encountered an extreme driver, not necessarily representative of most, but I'm just sharing my personal experience. We took a taxi from the hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui to Sogo in Causeway Bay. Without informing us, the driver took a detour over the cross-harbor bridge. I only found this out later when the price seemed wrong. He didn't take the usual tunnel, and as a result, the fare was HKD 193. Taking the tunnel usually costs around HKD 65, which we had paid before. So, I want to remind future guests to be careful when taking taxis.
However, there was one thing we were satisfied with: the housekeeping staff on our floor had surprisingly good service. They always smiled, greeted us, and said hello.FromMXN$2,711

I found a power bank nearby to rent for 8 HKD/hour, which is quite capitalistic, but it works in a pinch.
Everything else is pretty good; I've had good stays every time. The view is nice, and the breakfast is also good. Booking through Ctrip even got me a box of Jenny Bakery cookies. I was really pleased to get a weekday rate during the National Day holiday! This time, I noticed the lobby has changed. After dropping off my luggage around noon, I didn't get my room until nearly 4 PM (it was really busy, and I was on the 41st floor). They even upgraded me to a room on the 60th floor in the high-rise! I was so happy, but... the kids in the next room were incredibly active, still shouting and screaming at 11 PM. The soundproofing in the room is terrible; you can hear people walking by outside, and the opening and closing of the next-door room's door is so loud... it was awful! I barely slept all night, and the worst part is... for some reason, I felt like I was being bitten all night, and I was still itchy the next day 😭😷

The room was larger than expected; we, a family of three, chose a king-sized bed (1.8m), and the movable sofa could be used as a barrier next to it. There were earplugs in the room, but I wasn't sure if they were complimentary since it wasn't specified, so I didn't use them. A universal adapter was provided. During the National Day holiday, I accompanied my mother to Hong Kong for a friend's daughter's wedding. After the successful wedding, we decided to extend our stay for two more days and chose to check into the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel. It's a well-established five-star brand with an excellent location, directly facing Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars.
Although the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained and clean. The rooms have an old-fashioned style, exuding a classic, retro charm. The room size is quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, comfortable and cozy. We booked a partial sea view room, but couldn't fully see the sea view.

The room was a bit old-fashioned, and there were only two power outlets. Luckily, I brought a couple of multi-port adapters, otherwise charging my phone and camera would have been a hassle. No bottled water was provided in the room, only tap water. While it's eco-friendly, it's not very convenient and detracted from the experience.
The hotel's surroundings are excellent. There are many bars and restaurants downstairs, and a Wellcome Supermarket and 7-Eleven nearby. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient to get to Central and the West Kowloon Cultural Corridor. Just a heads-up, the MTR station is quite a distance, so it might not be convenient if you have a lot of luggage.
I'd like to praise the front desk service. On my first night, I was on the 4th floor, and the 3rd floor was the swimming pool. The room was incredibly damp. When I woke up in the morning, I had two bites, probably from some insect. After I reported it to the front desk, they immediately moved me to a room on the 16th floor for the remaining two days! We stayed here for a staycation when the hotel first opened during the pandemic and had a great experience. Returning after a few years, however, was quite disappointing. First, the cleanliness fell short of standards. As soon as we entered the room, we found long hairs left behind by the previous guest on the sofa, along with a lot of white crumbs in the sofa crevices. When I went to the pool, I found that the clean towels in the locker room smelled awful. I was going to use one to dry my hair, but as soon as it touched my hair, the smell made me want to vomit. Second, the breakfast options were extremely limited. The waffle toppings didn't even include chocolate sauce, the yogurt only came in pineapple flavor, and the other hot Chinese and Asian dishes were very monotonous. It is severely overpriced (over 400 per adult and over 200 per child). The view is still great and the staff are friendly, but the hotel management and pricing simply don't match up.FromMXN$3,001

The location, environment, decor, and cleanliness all exceeded my expectations; I was very satisfied with everything. The small size of the room is unavoidable and understandable given the prime location.
The hotel's location is close to Times Square, and there's a market and hawker center not far downstairs, making it very convenient for eating and shopping. Bus stops are also very close, within tens or hundreds of meters, making it easy to get to various attractions.
The room is equipped with bath towels, disposable slippers, and a hairdryer. The front desk can lend one universal adapter per room, but it's on a first-come, first-served basis. The front desk is on the third floor, and check-in was very simple.
Among hotels of similar location, type, facilities, and equipment, this one offers excellent value for money. I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again next time and have already recommended it to friends.

I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights because I heard it had good access to Hong Kong Disneyland.
There wasn't much difference in price between a taxi and the train from the airport to the hotel, so I took a taxi. The room was simple, and the amenities were truly minimal (just a toothbrush and slippers), but since I only needed a place to sleep, I was satisfied. The slippers were quite thin and flimsy, so I recommend bringing your own if that bothers you.
I also stayed at the end of August, but the room was quite cold; it was chilly even with the air conditioning off, so I suggest bringing a jacket or cardigan. There were two rolls of toilet paper, but once one ran out, it wasn't replaced. Hand towels and bath towels were replenished daily.
I could hear some noise from the adjacent room, but there are a lot of international guests, so I guess that's to be expected given the clientele. The building where the hotel is located has a supermarket and many Japanese restaurants, so you won't have trouble finding food.
I only noticed it later, so I couldn't use it, but there was information in the room drawer about discounts available at Aeon (apparently, you just need to show your room key). The access to Disneyland was good, and for about 10,000 yen per day for two people, I was satisfied with the price as well.FromMXN$1,663

As a hotel that opened several years ago, the facilities are a bit dated. The room rate was artificially high during the National Day holiday; a HKD 3,000 room here is comparable to one costing around MOP 1,000 in Macau, so the value for money isn't great. It might have been the National Day holiday, which caused prices to generally increase, but I still felt it wasn't worth it. I booked a standard room for over 1600, and the room was only about 16-18 square meters. Everyone says Hong Kong is expensive per square inch, but I didn't expect space to be this precious.
Now, for the common question of how to get there quickly: From Wan Chai MTR Exit B1, walk along Hennessy Road, past Southorn Playground, to Shanghai Industrial Investment Building, cross the road, and you're there. However, the hotel doesn't have a prominent sign. We didn't even realize it was the hotel when we got to the entrance; Hong Kong shop signs are indeed quite discreet.

The room was tiny, and as soon as I opened the door, there was a damp, musty smell. The air quality was really bad. Running the AC for ventilation barely helped, and if I turned the AC up too high, it would vibrate with the bathroom glass, making a rattling noise. I had to turn it off at night to get some sleep.
I didn't encounter the bed bug issue mentioned in previous reviews, but I still brought my own hygienic sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcases. It turns out it was absolutely necessary; the bedding definitely felt neglected, and you could tell it was a bit dirty just by touching it. I highly recommend bringing your own hygiene kit.
Flushing the toilet was incredibly powerful; water splashed everywhere, soaking my toilet seat cover. Extremely annoying... The toilet paper and tissues were ridiculously thin, so bring your own. The only upside was that the shower had incredibly strong water pressure and super hot water, which made for a great shower (.
Checking in on the 2nd took over ten minutes because the lobby was packed due to a holiday. On the 3rd, the bus to Tung Chung at noon was completely full; it seemed to coincide with a group of kids taking the SAT. The staff led us to the bus stop, and we waited for over ten minutes for a bus that was also packed, sos. The hotel's shuttle to Tung Chung only comes once an hour. If you can't wait, you can try catching the Marriott's shuttle across the street. It's the same coming back from Tung Chung; the two hotels are opposite each other. The Marriott's bus is less crowded and faster, while the Regal's bus takes a detour to pick up and drop off people at the Regala.
The biggest advantage of the Regal is its direct access to the airport and its proximity to AsiaWorld-Expo. It's also cheaper than the Marriott, but for this price, the quality is even worse than some budget hotels... Choose the Regal for a short stay, but if you're staying for more than three days, definitely go for the Marriott.FromMXN$1,412
